Company description
Welcome on board of King Snefro`s Fleet of Red Sea liveaboards! Catering to both, groups and individuals, King Snefro offers a choice of four different liveaboards that cruise all of the best Rea Sea dive sites. Small groups will guarantee exceptional comfort and individual service.
Operating from Sharm El Sheikh we have offered diving cruises since 1986 when King Snefro 2 was one of the first custom built dive boats. Soon King Snefro 3 and King Snefro 4 established the King Snefro Fleet. Using the same successful formula, King Snefro 5 and twin vessel King Snefro 6 joined in 1999. Today more than 20 years experience in diving tourism at the Northern Red Sea combined with our knowledge of the area and the diving experience of our team will be your profit.
Since 1998 the fleet is under german management, operated by a team of 30 experienced, professional, friendly, helpful and highly motivated crewmembers. All of us are dedicated to provide you with the best service possible to make your diving holidays one of the best you ever had. Our aim is that you will feel at home and leave our boats with plenty of positive memories.
Our Boats:
* King Snefro 3
Very popular King Snefro 3 was built 1990 in Domiat / Egypt. Rebuilt 1999 and with major changes in 2005, the now 23 m long and 6 m wide yacht is the perfect boat for up to 14 divers and the only in the fleet that have Nitrox filling (EANx-Membrane) on board. Designed for a maximum of comfort she is offering a spacious salon and dining area. The large sun deck (70 m²) is the best place to have a look at beautiful sunsets or shooting stars. The ones of you who want to spend a night in the one million star hotel will find a place here.
The spacious, air-conditioned salon is finished by mahogany wood. Breakfast, lunch and diner will be served here as a buffet. For your convenience water, tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks are always available at the bar, a favourite meeting point special in winter. When not diving you may use TV, Video, CD, DVD and the central music system.
* King Snefro 4
Built 1994 in Alexandria / Egypt, refitted in 2004, the 18 m long and 5,6 m wide King Snefro 4 is ideal for smaller groups up to 10 persons. Already with a group of only 6 persons you can cruise and enjoy classic Red Sea diving in comfort. Her itinerary is covering the Straits of Tiran, Ras Mohammed and the Gulf of Suez with the famous wreck of Thistlegorm.
Unique in design is the dining area to the fore. Here you have magnificent views whilst eating excellent food. Beside the dining area you will find hot and cold drinks; tea, coffee, water and soft drinks (as much as you like). Between the main meals snacks are always available. The attractive, air conditioned mahogany salon area is very comfortable, and when not diving you may use the music system, TV, CD, CVD and video or - if you like - games like backgammon, domino and more.
* King Snefro 5
King Snefro 5 and her twin vessel King Snefro 6 were built in Alexandria / Egypt in 1999. 20 m long and 6 m wide - designed exactly the same way - each one accommodates up to 12 divers. You are a group up to 24 - these boats can be your choice too. Enjoy diving in small groups and meet in the evening when the boats anchor for the night.
* King Snefro 6
Luxury finishing also on the cabin deck: 6 air-conditioned double cabins. 2 cabins have private bathroom, 4 cabins are sharing 2 bathrooms which are connected to your cabin direct (except the two front cabins, these ones through the corridor only). Like all bathrooms they are offering hot & cold water all the time. The new designed diving area, 2 ladders to the spacious platform and the zodiac makes your diving comfortable and safe.
Location description:
Discovering the underwater world has caught the imagination of divers since the times of Hans Hass and Jacques Cousteau who already said in 1956: ``The Red Sea is a corridor of marvels - the happiest hours of my diving experience I have been spent there.``
Imagine you will wake up next to a remote reef, have a coffee, get your dive gear ready and jump into the clear warm waters of the Red Sea. Forget the transfer to your daily dive boat – you are doing your first dive! Spend your time diving, relaxing, sunbathing, reading and enjoying delicious meals! Have a soft drink or a beer after the night dive on the sun deck, try a shisha or share the stories of the day with your new friends while the night sky covers up with one million stars. Start to dream about the next dive ……
A liveaboard cruise enables you to reach the remote and spectacular reefs with ease and comfort before others do. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere away from the crowds. Unlimited diving at the best time at the best spots will show you the amazing underwater world from a new side. Diving from a liveaboard is the most comfortable way to explore the Red Sea with some of the most dramatic wall dives and coral gardens, plenty of marine life and not to forget some of the best wreck dives worldwide.
At the Southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula the Red Sea splits into the Gulf of Aqaba and the Gulf of Suez. More than 100 different kinds of corals, more than 1.000 different species of fish - diving in the Red Sea is spectacular. Schools of fish, turtles, sharks, mantas, stingrays, huge coral heads, colourful soft corals - whatever you are looking for the Red Sea can offer it.
At the Straits of Tiran four reefs waiting to be visited: Gordon, Thomas, Woodhouse and Jackson Reef. With sometimes strong currents snappers, tunas, barracudas and sharks are staying here. Dive at Ras Nasrani with small sandy bays, White Knights with an underwater canyon, Pinkies Wall a drop off named after pink soft corals, Ras Um Sid with beautiful farn corals. Discover one of the top dives worldwide, Shark and Jolanda Reef, caves at Jackfish Alley and all the clown fishes at Anemone City. Passing into the Gulf of Suez visit the reef system of Shaab Mahmoud where one of the oldest wrecks, the Dunraven and the World War II wreck, the Thistlegorm are located.
You are a beginner, an experienced diver or you visited the area before - be sure there is always the right place for your level of experience and in each dive something beautiful and new to see!
