Company description Welcome to the World of Barakuda Divers in Egypt , a country that offers you unlimited possibilities. Impressive monuments built thousands of years ago, oriental bazaar life, endless sandy beaches and a unique underwater world are waiting for you!
You`ll find our Diving Centers in Safaga, Red Sea and Dahab, South Sinai. Our Liveaboard vessels are cruising from North to South, we are covering all the top spots of the Red Sea. All the teams are consisting of professional diving instructors or divemasters and will be happy to guide you through your holidays and present you an unforgettable time.
We offer several liveaborads and vessels, like:
*Longimanus
The diving deck has two extra bathrooms with showers, and two sweet water rinse hoses in the back on the platform. You choose when you want to dive. Start the day with an early-morning-dive, get a little rest, maybe go for another dive in the afternoon or finish your diving day with a night dive – it`s up to you. Nitrox is available for every diver presenting an international nitrox user brevet. We use 12l aluminum tanks with DIN/INT connection. For divers bringing their own rebreather, the tanks can also be filled on board. For participating in our liveaboards it is obligatory to have a minimum of 30 logged dives. It is desirable that every diver is equipped with a computer and safety buoy. The use of an alternative air source is also mandatory. Further we recommend to bring some spare parts like fin straps etc. Equipment can be rent from our diving center before the beginning of the liveaboard. Courses are available upon request.
*Millenium
You choose when you want to dive. Start the day with an early-morning-dive, get a little rest, maybe go for another dive in the afternoon or finish your diving day with a night dive – it`s up to you. This cruise starts in Safaga and takes you to the famous wrecks of Abu Nuhas – Giannis D., Carnatic etc. and last but not least Thistlegorm.
Location description: Our diving center is ideally located on the beautiful beach of Intercontinental Abu Soma Resort, surrounded by a fantastic desert scenery with palm trees and turquoise waters. The diving center is under Barakuda management, one of the biggest diving associations worldwide. A team of experienced multilingual dive-guides and diving instructors, all with extensive training in first aid is looking forward to welcome you on board.
Dahab is known above all for its famous diving spots in its proximities: Canyon, Blue Hole, Ras Abu Qalum, Lilhlaba and for its charachteristic atmosphere of the ``Assalah``, the Bedouin camp to the heart of the village. The natural reserves of Ra`as Muhammed, Tiran and Sanafir Islands, St. Catherine, Nabaq and Abu Qalum offer a variety of exciting excursions and safaris.
Lagona Village has it`s own private beach as well as a big swimming pool. Furthermore there is a hotel reception, a restaurant, snack-bar as well as Shisha-Café. Sun beds and umbrellas are available on the beach as well as beside the swimming-pool.
Accomodation at Lagona is divided into two different categories of rooms:
*“Superior categorie”, which are equipped with aircondition, Satellite TV, Telefone, refridgerator and located around the swimming pool. 10 connected rooms for families or groups are available.
*“Standard categorie”, which are equipped with aircondition, Satellite TV, Telefone.
Dahab diving safaries.
The dive sites „Gabr El Bint“ in the south or „Ras Abu Galum“ in the north of Dahab which are belonging to the Natural Parc Area, are only attainable by Camels, which will bring us with all the equipment during a 1,5 hours ride to the unforgettable nice diving sites. Our excursions with Camels are very exclusive trips and close to nature. We offer these excursions as 1- or 2-days trip. Staying overnight we recommend sleeping bags, because we sleep in simple tents beside the beach. The atmosphere in the evening is made by the sky full of stars, a nice camping fire and the soft music of the beduins. During these safaris we can arrange for 3 dives per day. Around the diving spots of Ras Abu Galum and Gabr El Bint there is a lot to see for the drop-off freaks. The spots are in a very healthy condition, as there are only few people diving. The food is completely done by Beduins, well known for the good taste, who offer constantly during the day the well tasting Beduin-tea. The safaris can be booked in advance and be combined with a stay at our hotel, Daniela Village Dahab.Prices upon request, group discount possible. Camel-Trekkingsafaris (1- or more days) without dives can also be organised by us. Information upon request.
