Pemba Island is the unknown half of Zanzibar. The island has been separated from the mainland and Zanzibar for decades and was totaly closed of for turists until the mid eighties.
Pemba is an untouched and pristine island of great beauty and fertility, with a mosaic of forests, swamps, mangroves, hidden beaches and lagoons scattered with the ruins of mosques and tombs.
As Pemba is located very close to the equator the temperature and climate is very stable, and stays around 30 degrees through the year.
