Company description Pro-Tech Dive College is on the beautiful area of Karon Beach surrounded by many of Phuket`s luxury 5 star hotels, great shopping and an abundance of bars and restaurants with the beach less than a five minute lazy walk away. We offer transfers and accommodation options for those who are taking part in Training, Diving or Liveaboarding with the centre.
Mathew Partridge, Technical Director/Instructor Trainer founded Pro-Tech Divers in the UK in 2001 after managing/owning a very large successful dive store in England. He made the transition to Thailand in 2002 to combine all of his dive centre knowledge and instructor training techniques into the development of Pro-Tech Dive College, Thailand’s Premier Technical Diver Training Facility and Specialist Rebreather Centre. For the past 10 years Mathew has traveled the world seeking diving thrills and adventure and continues to do so with expeditions following his own passions for deep wreck diving on his private collection of rebreathers. Heading the team at Pro-Tech Mathew offers technical training at all diver and instructor levels and insists that his team is constantly updating their own training in order to pass on a first-class education to his customers.

Pro-Tech teach all level diving courses from the world` s largest recreational diver training agency PADI and as a fully recognized official PADI facility our instructors hold some of the highest ratings achievable ensuring excellent training for all of our customers and safety at all times. We are also a TDI Premier Development centre offering all levels at diver and instructor through to Advanced Trimix and Closed Circuit Rebreathers. In addition to the TDI courses on offer at Pro-Tech we also offer the full range of DSAT courses at diver and instructor levels. The resident team have all lived and worked on the island for many years and they all have exceptional levels of teaching experience along with a passion to grow and promote the future of Technical Diver Training and exploration. We pride ourselves on offering accurate information, safety above all else and a determination to succeed and we welcome divers from all agencies from all parts of the world.
We utilise more than 10 day boats operating from Chalong Marina less than 10 minutes away from the centre providing great access to all Phuket dive sites every day of the week. We offer day trips and liveaboard trips around the famous Similan islands; Phi-Phi Islands, Hin Deang and Hin Muang and all have onboard oxygen and first aid. Transfers, breakfast, lunch, snacks and water is provided on all trips with fun, sunshine and laughter compulsory. For the avid `Tekkies` we have a private charter boat to take you where you want, when you want, with whom you want, to whatever depth you want, its all about pleasure at your leisure. Speed boats are also available for those seeking half day excursions or island hoping.
The College has a Gas Blending station offering Clean Air, Nitrox and Trimix we also cater for rebreather divers bringing their own units to Thailand with tank hire and full stocks of dive sorb. Recreational, technical and rebreather equipment is also available for hire. We have an on-site service station allowing us to keep all of our equipment in tip-top shape, and able to service most major brands of dive equipment for our customers on the spot.
Location description: Scuba diving is Phuket’s foremost tourist temptation where you will find all different kinds of nationalities uniting together in buddy pairs to explore the magical reefs and wrecks of the Andaman Sea on the West Coast of Thailand. Phuket has the clearest waters in Thailand with visibility beyond 30 meters and year round temperatures of 29 degrees even at depth. Phuket is also the central meeting point for divers wishing to have a scuba diving experience of a lifetime to the famous Similan Islands where you can visit either by day trip or Liveaboard trips from one night to ten night stays. Phuket is also one of the worlds leading technical diving destinations due to its vast sites with depth and deep wrecks
New divers will find it hard to dive anywhere else once they are introduced to the abundance of marine life as they are mesmerised by the whole experience. At Pro-Tech beginners can choose from many PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) experiences such as Discover Scuba Diver , PADI Scuba Diver or the most popular diving certification in the world today the PADI Open Water Diver Course.
The great thing about the dive sites is that no two dives are ever the same, as one site such as Racha Yai has a multitude of reefs to explore, with a shallow bay for newcomers and a wreck at 30 meters for the more adventurous.
The King Cruiser Wreck situated very close to the other sites of Shark Point, Anemone Reef and Koh Doc Mai offers the perfect day out for those looking to further their diving adventures with a PADI Advanced Diver Course. And better still, these sites are just a short hour boat ride away providing a stress free journey for a perfect days scuba diving across the calm seas of Phuket.
ow let’s not forget the beaches! This is pure paradise for those not wanting to take a full day out of their relaxing schedule and those who like to be back from two dives just in time for lunch, and lets face it Phuket has some of the best beaches in Thailand. You can walk right in off the beach to some of the most charming reefs while those who have snorkellers in the family can encourage them to watch from the surface while you dive in and out of the coral formations.
Thailand is famous for its beach taxi boats called longtails and these are a fantastic way to discover uncrowned dive sites at a really relaxed pace. Pro-Tech visits the lovely Pu Island on a daily basis during the high season months this is also a fabulous start for those beginner open water courses or snorkelling trips.
The marine life in Phuket includes Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Eagle Rays, Leopard Sharks, Lion Fish, Parrot Fish, Groupers, Banner Fish, Angel Fish, Puffer Fish, Blue-Spotted Stingrays, Titan Trigger Fish, Sea Snakes, Turtles, Jacks, Clown Fish, Fusiliers, Trevally, Barracuda, Reef Sharks plus much, much more. Dolphins are no strangers accompanying the boats to the dive sites.
