Company description Tobago Frontier Divers Ltd is a PADI certified Scuba Dive Centre; we are also registered with the Tobago Dive Association (ATDO). We are located at Sandy Point Beach Club an RCI Resort situated at the south –western tip of the island. This company is one of the only locally owned dive shops on the island of Tobago. It is owned and managed by a husband and wife Alvin & Kerry Douglas.
While Kerry is a capable diver, she spends her time overseeing all the administrative duties, such as making booking arrangements and ensuring that the customer is welcomed into the family. Alvin (otherwise known as “BIG DOUGIE”) a former member and dive instructor of the Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard of thirteen years and is an experience diver for the past twenty-one years. He is also a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, this enables him to carry out lectures, consultancy services to both public and private institutes as well as conduct most of the courses we offer. The team is complete with two Dive Masters and one PADI Open Water Instructor, all of whom have logged thousands of dives. Whatever your experience level, Tobago Frontier Divers can help you take it to the next level and push your diving frontier further.
Our boat is a 32ft pirogue - a specially developed vessel ideally suited for these Caribbean waters. Frontier Dive 1 has an aluminum T top which offers some shade. As dives are usually done by backward roll entry the pirogue is the best type of vessel for drift dives because of its good maneuverability. The vessel is complete with all safety provisions - radio, oxygen, a new Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB), first aid kit and life jackets.
Tobago is a scuba diver’s paradise, with its a conglomeration of living reefs providing different types of diving to suit everyone’s dreams; it is surrounded by clear, tropical waters with colourful reefs abounding with life.
Scuba diving with Tobago Frontier Divers is fun and rewarding for all divers. Tobago Frontier Divers has become increasingly popular in recent years showing a dramatic increase in the number of divers diving with us. PADI certification courses, reef dives, wreck dives, drift dives - it all happens here.
Divers have little difficulty sighting barracudas, dolphins, whale sharks, nurse sharks, turtles as well as sting rays - a thrill for all divers. These are just some of the wonders awaiting the scuba diver in Tobago. There are extensive fringing reefs and rocky reefs including the Japanese Gardens, as well as underwater cliffs and canyons covered with corals and sponges. The variety of good dive sites means there are easy dives for the novice and challenging dives for the experienced.
There`s also a lot of land based adventures to experience.
Tobago, inhabited by the Caribs, was also sighted in 1498 by Columbus. It was successively a Spanish, British, Dutch, and French possession until 1814, when France, at the end of the Napoleonic Wars, had to cede the island to Britain. Tobago formed a part of the Windward Islands Colony until 1889, when it was joined to Trinidad.
Location description: We offer a wide range of PADI courses. Come discover the ocean planet’s final Frontier with some of the most experienced dive leaders Tobago has to offer. Our shop is associated with the Buccoo Reef Trust in the Eco Awareness Programs offered on a yearly basis to primary and secondary school students; we have also introduced Scuba Diving to students of the University of the West Indies and they have gone on to form the first dive club on Campus SHARK BAIT . We have even successfully extended our training programs to the Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard and have now established contracts for training, equipment supplies and dive consultancy.

Our snorkeling trips are the perfect excursion for families or groups of friends. Get away from the crowds and enjoy spectacular snorkeling on untouched area of Buccoo Reef, move at your own pace and experience the beauty of Tobago`s underwater environment.
Minimum 4 persons, maximun 8. Trip lasts 2 1/2 hours and includes light refreshment and snorkeling equipment.
