Company description We established there Agua Rica Diving Center in 1994 and since then, we have acquired deep knowledge of the local dives sites,marine life,sea conditions, etc.
AguaRica is a SSI dealer.The first level course,OWD certification, includes theory sections in our dive shop, pool sections and, finally, four ocean dives. It requires five days. We also certify from advanced divers to the professional levels,such as Divemaster or Instructor
If you are not staying for but that lenght of time to get a certification , we offer the Try to Scuba Program ($115); you will still dive with us after just an half day training.This introductory course will be taken in consideration if and when you decide to complete the certification training.

Agua Rica Diving Center carries only well serviced, name brand equipment from US divers, Mares, Cressi, Quiksilver, as well as other top brands. Tanks are 80 cu ft (12 liters) aluminium. All tanks have current visual and hydrostatic tests and use regular K-valve and DIN valve.

SNORKELING.
We do snorkeling tours by boat, leaving from Tamarindo to the North to the best virgin beaches, such as Playa Carbon, Playa Real and finally the popular Playa Conchal. The tour takes you 4 hours and includes snorkeling equipment, drinks and snacks.
RENTING SCUBA EQUIPMENT.
We rent all the equipment to divers that preferred not to carry their own one You can choose between the best brands of 15 full equipments of all the sizes, from XXS to XXL. We also offer fin, masks, snorkels for snorkelers and wetsuits for surfers.

Location description: Our most popular trip is the one to Catalinas Islands, where we leave early in the morning with small groups of divers ( from 2 to 6) to reach the volcanic pinnacles. We use speed boats from 24 to 30 ft. Here, at a depth of 60/70 ft, thanks to a good visibility (average of 50 ft) we are able to explore the bottom of the sea where an outstanding variety of marine life, such as snappers, jacks, rainbow runners, gafftop sail pompanos, moorish, idols, tangs, eels, co-nosed rays, whitetip sharks is waiting for us.
One of the best spot is Catalina Grande, ideal location to encounterth big Pacific manta ray (manta birostris) that leaves here for mostly of the year. Very often the divers have the exciting experience of riding some of them. During the dry season the humpback whales migrate through theTamarindo bay area and it is possible to watch them closely during the boatride. During all our excursions we provide the divers with soft drinks and snacks.
Water temperature; is variable ranging from 78-86F in green season and 68-74 in dry season. Anyway the water temperature is variable from day to day with termoclines most of the time.
Underwater visibility, is equally variable, ranging from 20 to 70 ft depending on location, tides, currents .The nutrient rich water, plancton, that attract the big quantity of marine life, could also reduce the visibility.
