Company description CoCo View Resort is a 26 room, family owned dive resort on the Island of Roatan, Honduras. We have over twenty years of experience catering to the expectations and comforts of divers. Our commitment to designing the ultimate dive operation has put CCV among the top-rated dive resorts in the Caribbean. Our custom dive boats will take you to the best sites around Roatan and our incredible ``Front Yard`` shore diving is incomparable in variety and accessibility.
At CoCo View you vacation on a beautiful and comfortable island resort where you are treated like family. Our casual ambience encourages a warm and pleasant atmosphere and our staff makes you feel welcome. Our island picnic and parties with live music and entertainment are terrific fun. On and off the dive boats you can make many wonderful new friends.
Although most of our guests come for the spectacular diving, CCV has become a haven for `land-lovers` as well. Non-divers, and divers putting in some dry-time, enjoy the many resort amenities and island activities we offer. Our spa, decks, clubhouse, beautiful grounds, hot tub and abundant hammocks are great ways to relax. Or you can get more active with our Fitness Center, kayaks and unbeatable snorkeling! And if you would like to experience a little more of the charming island culture on Roatan, or mainland Honduras, we can take care of that too.
However you choose to enjoy your time with us, we will do our best to make this trip your best vacation ever, in and out of the water.
The heart of CoCo View Resort is the experienced dive staff that work hard to make sure you have the best dive vacation ever.
Your dive equipment is on the dock stored in large convenient lockers, only steps away from your boat and plentiful clean water dunk tanks and showers. Air tanks, your dive masters as well as Dockside Dive and Photo Center, are all conveniently located on the boat dock too.
Simplifying the pre-dive preparation and the post dive clean-up is one of the best attributes CoCo View Resort offers.
Our fleet of four fifty-foot dive boats insures you get to Roatan’s best dive sites in comfort.
They are designed specifically for diver’s easy entry and exit. There are two boat trips daily, that’s four tank dives from the boat if you do a drop off on the way home.
Our boat captains and crews are dedicated professionals who work hard to make your trips pleasant and relaxing.
Snorkels are welcome! Many of our dive sites are great for snorkeling too! You and your snorkel are always welcome on the boats, so hop on board and come enjoy the fun!
Night diving is an experience unlike any other. Strange and beautiful creatures come out to play and eat after the lights go out. As a guest at CoCo View you can experience this amazing sight in our front yard any night you wish. Explore coral reefs and walls or venture on to the wreck of the Prince Albert.
Night boat diving is available one night each week, usually on Wednesday for an additional charge of $20 per person. (Minimum of 8 divers must sign up for the boat trip.) One of our dive masters will take you to a great dive site.
Wreck Diving: The Prince Albert, a 140 foot tanker sunk in 1985 is right in our front yard in 65 feet of water. Experience it as a drop off dive from the boat on your way home, or as a shore dive directly off our beach. The wreck of the Prince Albert is also a very popular night dive.
Location description: Here is a list of some sites, reef top depth, and marine life or coral growth you might find interesting during your stay at CoCo View Resort.
Missing Link: Moored in 20’, Reef Top ranges from 20’-30’. Large mounds & hedges of hard corals cut to the edge of the reef top with the wall dropping off to 80’. Watch for schooling fish on this site.
Gold Chain Reef: Moored in 25’, Reef Top ranges from 10’-30’. This is a slopping wall fingering out to a large sand slope. The wall top is thickly populated with Elkhorn, Staghorn, and Lettuce corals. Keep an eye out for surge on this reef top.
Little French Cay: Reef Top ranges from 25’-30’. Lush out cropping with several sets of overhangs, and is thickly populated with hard corals.
French Cay Cut: Moored in 20’, Sandy basin with shallow corals leading to the cut. This is a very shallow wall top lined with mounds of Star & Elkhorn corals. Keep an eye out for wave action.
Mary’s Place: Moored in 35’, while having a deeper mooring, this system of crevices has a prolific wall top. An added bonus is the amazing
