There is SSI/PADI certified Divemasters, 6 dive boats with the capacity of 5 to 20 divers. The full service dive shop offers a large selection of equipment for rental. Resort courses and certification courses are available. There is a hyperbaric chamber on the Resort.
Fantasy Island Beach Resort - Dive & Marina was built specifically to accommodate the needs of traveling divers. The convenient dive center features dockage for a fleet of six custom 42 foot dive boats directly adjacent to the spacious guest gear storage area, underwater photo center, compressors and equipment rental facility. The famed south shore dive sites are but minutes away, and when conditions favor the excellent north side diving, Fantasy Island`s private dock along the northern shore allows easy acces

Fantasy Island Beach Resort Dive & Marina is an authorized PADI Center. In our Dive Center you will enjoy with this modern educative system and acquire experience and security in diving. To enroll in this adventure the student must be 15 years old for and OWD or 12 years old for JOWD. What this course does is prepare student with best ability to trust, and be responsible for any diving experience. This course takes a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 5 days prior to certification with 5 confine water session, 4 open water dives, knowledge review and final exams.

Location description: The Bay Islands are attractive Honduras region, that is a marine reserve Honduras. The Island group consist of three large islands of Roatan, Guanaje and Utila, as well as a lot of smaller cays. For several years these Islands were un-known, until recently, they were re-discovered and now they are considered as the most beautiful of the Tropical Caribbean.
Is the second largest barrier reef in the world, after the one in Australia. This does that the divers of the deep & surface, do not have to make a mayor effort to find beautiful coral gardens, sponges of shiny colors, coves and wrecks.
Roatan is 30 miles long string beans-shaped and 4 miles width. its cover with a great tropical vegetation. Roatan best characteristic is the white sand beaches, border with countless coconut trees. Its water is extremely crystalline, which let observe the movement of the different fish species between the multicolor seaweed.
The capital of the Island is Coxen Hole, the commerce center of the Island and the connection with La Ceiba through the Ferry taht join them. Even though the city has its limitations on tourist attractions, there is where you can find the bus station to move around the Island.
Virtually idyllic weather prevails year-round. Temperatures hover between 77F and 84F with gentle trade winds from the southeast. October to December are the wettest months, but rainfall is generally periodic and of short duration. Sand fleas and mosquitoes exist, but are not unbearable. Similar to cape cod or New Hampshire in the summer. Just bring a good insect repellent. Average water temperature varies from 78F in winter to 82F in summer.
Diving: Some of the world`s best diving is found only minutes from the resort. Over 50 dive sites, characterized by spectacular crevices and tunnels opening to breathtaking walls, offer excellent visibity, abundant fish and brilliant corals. Most sites are wihtin 10-20 minutes, and good diving is accessible approximately 40 yards from the beach.
For those who prefer to dive from shore at their own place, day or night, a unique dive Gazebo places a mysterious shipwreck, a sunken airplane a beautifull shallow reef and dramatic wall diving just a giant stride away.
Water conditions: Expect water temperatures in the low 80F in summer and high 70F in winter. Although visibility can peak at 100 feet or more, expect an average of 80 feet, unless when storms or plankton cloud the water.
