| Located in Central America, Nicaragua has the benefit of two oceans, Atlantic and Pacific, less know for scuba diving the Pacific ocean hides it's beauty beneath the warm turqoise water.Are you ready to discover with us lots of new life forms? Rays, eels, color fish, nudibranchs, anemonies, parrotfish, star fish, cornet fish, scorpion fish, octopus, olive riddle turtles, snappers, grouppers just to mention a few of the species that you can dive with, so get your gear and join us in an adventure trip, you will be guided by our PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor who started teaching diving at age 21, he'll make sure your day goes by smoothtly. We have all the gear you need to go diving if you do not want to carry an extra bag with your personal gear.
Our main activity is diving for that we have all the gear you need but also we are ready to go fishing and surfing with you.At Neptune Water Sports after eight years in San Juan del Sur we can offer you and very nice fan of services : We have a boat, a 25 foot panga, therefore we can take you diving, fishing, snorkeling, turtle, dolphins and whale watching, we can go for fun to watch the sunset with your family or booze cruising with your friends. Also our 4x4 trucks can pick you up at the airport, bring you to San Juan del Sur and take you surfing to all the nearby beaches. Why should you come and dive with us in Nicaragua? Well, because it's amazing ! There's so much to see down here ! We have all the small color fish: Barbers, Cortez angelfish, Butterfly fish, Wounded wrasse, parrot fish, trigger fish, bermuda chubbs, Blennies, Gobbies, lots of rays: Sand Rays, Spoted Eagle rays, Southern Sting Rays, Sea Devil Rays Eels: Honey combs, spotted eels, garden eels, Sea Snakes and of course big fish and creatures like lobsters, octopus, turtles, dophins, whales, Dolphin fish, Barracudas, Tarpoons, Horse eyes Jacks, Black tunas, Snappers, Grouppers, Scorpion fish, star fish, all sorts of shells, many oisters and clams. When you dive in the Pacific ocean you also see gorgonias (soft coral), sea fans, purple tube sponges, margaritas, algaes,
The dive sites are very close to town, they are call La Paloma (the dove) only 25 minutes away, La Flor (the flower) 40 minutes from town, both are pinnacles not too far from shore only about a mile, we also have a ship wreck, it was a Russian shrimp boat sitting in 52 feet of water (16 meters) it's only five minutes from La Paloma.
The maximum depth we dive is 60 feet, the bottom composition is volcanic rocks, a little current, the temperature of the water is 85 F except for the months of December to February when it can reach the middle sixties, but do not worry we have wet suits.
I have been diving in Nicaragua for the last nine years, I started in the Caribbean side of the country in the Corn Islands, where I dove for a year, then moved to Apoyo lagoon (a volcanic lake near Managua) diving there for six months and finally set shop in San Juan del Sur in October 2001, during eight years many have come and gone but we are still here. We are the first Nicaraguan owned and operated dive shop in the country. We are strategically located in San Juan del Sur, the town has a modern pier where we take the boat, we meet at the dive shop to pick up the gear then go to the pier, two dives should take about four hours when we go to La Paloma and the ship wreck, five hours if we take you to La Flor.
We can help arrange your vacations from picking you up from the managua airport or pick you up at the costa rican border if you decide to land in Liberia, booking your hotel and other activities like fishing, surfing, canopy tours horse back ridding, visit to the masaya volcanoe and the handcraft market.
