Santana were the pioneers of Phuket scuba diving in Thailand and Similans scuba diving Phuket liveaboards Thailand back in the late 70`s and even named dive Thailand Similan dive sites such as ``Elephant Head``.
These days Santana heads out to the Andaman Sea`s finest Phuket dive Thailand scuba pro dive vacation Similan Island dive sites aboard our fantastic liveaboard vessel, MV Discovery.

These fast, quiet boats really are the business... Kitting up for your diving Phuket adventure could not be easier thanks to the spacious dive decks and helpful crew. Entering and exiting the water is a piece of cake thanks to her low entry-platform and diver-friendly ladders. Our weekly dive schedule of scuba diving daytrips from Phuket takes you daily to a range of different dive sites to suit all scuba diving tastes. Whichever dive daytrips you choose, Santana`s professional daytrip crew will endeavour to make your day`s diving a pleasant experience
Some of our favorite dive-spots:
*Koh Doc Mai
This small, jungle-topped island lies on the way to Shark Point from Phuket. It provides some of the best wall diving in the Phuket area with sea fans, soft corals and colourful sea life decorating its underwater cliffs. Harmless leopard sharks are often seen swimming by or lying on the sandy bottom, and Santana`s scuba dive guides are often able to find seahorses. One of 2 caverns in a depth of 15m can be safely penetrated.
Typical Dive Depth: 5-25m, Visibility: 5-20m
*Shark Point
Shark Point is a small rock, breaking the surface about 1 1/2 hours east of Phuket. It is now a Marine Sanctuary due to it`s tremendous variety of marine life. Particular attractions are the colourful soft corals and giant sea fans decorating the limestone pinnacle, the great range of tropical fish and the famous leopard sharks found on the sandy bottom. Although a relatively small site, it can take a number of scuba dives to experience the full range of gems to be found at Shark Point
*Anemone Reef
Phuket`s Anemone Reef dive site is a completely submerged reef lying not far from Shark Point. It is similar in character and you will be amazed at it`s extensive fields of sea anemones. Harmless leopard sharks are also to be found, along with larger pelagics such as tuna, jack and barracuda, and some massive schools of smaller fish.
*King Cruiser Wreck
King Cruiser, which sank in May `97, has already become a fabulous wreck dive site. Spanning a length of 80m and a width of 30m, her three decks provide excitement and adventure for all levels of scuba divers. Totally covered with shells and soft corals, King Cruiser wreck has become a huge artificial reef and the chosen home of a great variety of marine life, including lionfish, moray eels and the occasional turtle or nurse shark. From the beginner to the wreck dive specialist the King Cruiser Wreck satisfies everybody.
Typical Dive Depth: 14-31m, Visibility: 5-25m
