Company description Albena Diving Center offers dive trips for recreational scuba divers, diving courses for beginners and advanced divers, as well as leadership diving courses. Our instructors are very experienced and they are certified to teach courses by three international systems for diving education - the American NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors), the German IDA (International Diving Association) and the French CMAS (Confederation Mondiale des Activites Subaquatiques). Those students who pass successfully a diving course are given certificates recognized worldwide.
We offer our services to every diver and his family, as well as to enthusiasts who are interested in becoming divers through our professionally taught diving courses. We strive to organize safe diving training and fun dive trips. You can count on us that we will put every effort to make your visit to our center pleasant and memorable, as you will be surrounded by professional dive leaders in friendly atmosphere.
Albena Diving Center offers dive trips for recreational scuba divers, diving courses for beginners and advanced divers, as well as leadership diving courses.
Scuba Diver Course: This is the first level of certification. It is a 4 days course and it includes one skin-dive and four scuba dives, all open water dives and also 14 academic hours. The students apply all taught knowledge and skills in the sea in a non-threatening environment not exceeding 18 m (60 ft) depth with your Instructor. You must be 15 years old to be certified.
Advanced Diver Course: This is a task-oriented course which takes 3 days, and there is no classroom work involved. The course includes 6 dives, of which 3 core dives and 3 complementary dives, like underwater navigation, deep diving (maximum 30m) underwater environment diving, underwater photography or videography, shore diving, boat diving, wreck diving and more. One must be a NAUI Scuba Diver or equivalent and 15 years old to enroll in the course.
Specialty Courses: these are designed for divers to specialize in numerous diving activities such as: Underwater Navigation, Night Diving, Deep Diving, Underwater Photography or Videography, Underwater Environment, Drift Diving, Dry Suit Diving etc. We run these courses by special appointment.
The courses can be run in the following foreign languages: English, German and Russian.
Diving trips on interesting and suitable places, transport and equipment are provided. A diving instructor ensures the security of all participants.
SHIPWRECK DIVES
•Cape Shabla – diving to defeated cargo ship.The dive site is at depth 7m to 13m. Shabla is situated at 70km North of Albena
•Albena – this is a dive site to the wrecks of a still unknown ship at depth of 18m, 4 km from the sea shore.
CAVE AND DEEP DIVES
•Tyulenovo – cave dives in the vicinity “Martina” and “Samotnika” /The Lonely cliff/. There are a lot of caves and semi-caves with unique cliff shapes. The dive site is at depth between 7m to 12m and it offers beautiful sights for underwater photography. It is situated at 55 km to the North of Albena.
•Shabla – deep dive before lighthouse “Shabla” – appealing place, an extension of the rocky coastline, falling suddenly from a depth of 5m - 7m to 25m - 27m.
FUN DIVES
•Bolata – is a cosy little bay to the North of cape Kaliakra offering dive sites accessible from the shore. Fine place for observation and photography of the underwater flora and fauna. It is situated at 45 km to the North of Albena.(diving for beginners)
•Cape Kaliakra – the legendary Cape Kaliakra is situated at 45km to the North of Albena. Dives are made under the cape’s southern side, straight from the cliff shore. The depth is 5 m to 10 m
•Martina - diving to interesting rocky`s shapes, there is possibility for underwater photography
Location description: Albena Diving Center for a third year in a row is situated in HOTEL “LAGUNA BEACH” in Albena Resort. It is open from May till late October.
Albena is one of the most beautiful sea resorts on the Bulgarian seaside . Albena is the place where the sea meets the sand . The resort is a delight to people of all ages. With the sand lines, and the crystal sea, Albena offers a pleasure to every taste. Albena is situated only 30 km away from Bulgaria`s sea capital Varna. The resort is remarkable for its 6-km long beach. It has over 14 900 beds in 43 hotels (2 to 4 stars), situated at the very beach or at the picturesque hills with exciting views of the sea and the “Balata” National Reserve. Hotels are equipped with all modern facilities: cable TV, telephone lines, restaurants, bars, Internet cafes, medical services, rent-a-car, congress halls, swimming pools, sports services, etc.
Laguna Beach Hotel is situated on the beach where you can enjoy the sea breeze and the music of the waves. Laguna Beach Hotel has a terraced architecture like most hotels in the resort. This opens an excellent view to the sea. Renovated in 2000, the hotel has an air-conditioned restaurant where you can try the Bulgarian and International cuisine, lobby bar, cafe, air-conditioned animation hall with 250 places, air-conditioned Internet cafй, currency exchange, outdoor and indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, swimming pool for children, children`s playground, parking, massage center. There is a scuba diving club near the hotel and a photo shop. The lobby is sir-conditioned. Rooms are fashionably designed, each with a balcony, air-conditioner, hair dryer, telephone, satellite TV. Personal safes are offered additionally. The capacity of the hotel is 181 double and single rooms, as well as 9 studios – totally 390 beds. Near Hotel “Laguna Beach” is situated the unique for the Bulgarian seaside balneological center Medica where various cosmetic and medical programs are offered.
