Company description Sotiriou Diving School is among the very first in Greece. It was established by Vangelis Sotiriou in 1965 and is nowadays run with the help of the rest of the Sotiriou Family.
In seeking to broaden our knowledge around the subject of diving and to supplement our instruction with experience from other diving environments, we participate in various research and commercial projects.
For certified divers we require a valid diving certificate from any recognised authority. We will also ask you to complete a medical evaluation form.
There are some activities and courses for non-divers. For these, you may simply have to complete the medical evaluation form.

Vangelis Sotiriou - Founder:

BSAC National Instructor.
Vangelis first went into diving in 1968 and started teaching it in 1978. He was a member of the cave diving team that first explored the underwater cave system of lake Vouliagmeni in 1978 (one of the biggest in the world). In the summer he runs the Volcano Diving Center on the island of Santorini.
Toula Sotiriou - General Manager:
Recreational diver.
Toula has tirelessly supported her husband Vangelis for years on end by running almost everything not directly related to instruction, most notably the shop. If you happen to call in, she will most likely be the gentle lady to help you out with whatever you need!
Manthos Sotiriou - Manager, Volcano Diving Center:

Manthos is the Manager of Volcano Diving Center in Santorini. He is also responsible for the Underwater Works Department of the business. During his army service he served at the frogman unit of the Army Special Forces (135th School).

Alexander is a passionate diver with a very robust and extensive knowledge of the subject. He is the Manager of Sotiriou Diving Center in Athens where you can find him when he is not travelling abroad. He is in charge of advanced instruction (Rebreathers, Trimix divng, Wreck/Cavern diving). During his military service he served in the frogman unit of the Hellenic Navy.
Ralf - Mascot:
Ralf is our alert Pointer in charge of shop security. He, or his snoring, has greeted visitors to the school for over 10 years now!
Location description: The South-Eastern coast of Athens (see map) offers many choices and a variety of dives, accessible by car or by our boat. Cavern, Wreck, Wall, Reef Dives or Historical Dives can be conducted at these areas.
Santorini offers unlimited possibilities for diving. Every rock, reef or cave is inviting you to explore it. All transport is by boat
