DiveIceland.com is organizing both PADI courses and diving experience for tourists. So for you travelling to Iceland, or you staying in Iceland for a shorter or a longer time, check out our courses or tours.
The OPEN WATER DIVER course are your first enjoyable steps to become a certified diver. Completion of the Open Water Diver course allows you to plan and organise un-supervised dives and explore the underwater world! After successful completion of the OWD course, you will become a PADI Open Water Diver and get a Diving qualification recognised throughout the world. You will be able to procure air and diving equipment, enjoy the many wonders of the world`s oceans. Your PADI certification card will be valid in 175 countries and territories and will allow you to continue your diving education on many other PADI courses!
ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER - Whether you`re newly certified or have hundreds of logged dives, the PADI Advanced Open Water programme gives you the confidence, skills and experience to take your diving to new levels of an ultimate adventure. This programme consists of 5 supervised dives in introductory areas of five PADI specialties. The SPECIALITIES DiveIceland.com offers some specialities, such as dry suit diver, night diver, deep diver, ice diver and underwater photographer.

SILFRA, ЮINGVELLIR is without a doubt a WORLD TOP 10 diving site, so for you travelling to Iceland and wishing to do one or two dives, this is the tour for you! Diving this dive site is a MUST for every diver visiting Iceland.
We at Diveiceland.com are experienced in taking tourists to Silfra, if you are a certified diver, with or without a dry suit experience, you can do it. You will be accompanied by a PADI Instructor and the site is really easy to dive, because we can choose from different routs regarding to your experience.
Included in this tour is pick up/drop off at any Reykjavik location, one or two dives and all the equipment you need. All you have to bring your self is warm clothes to wear under the dry suit, extra clothes in case you get wet, some food and finally fun:-) You are of course free to bring any equipment you wish, but we do have first class Poseidon equipment with dry suits in all standard sizes.
We at Diveiceland.com are now offering weekend tours to Iceland year around, we will pick you up at the airport on Friday and get you to your accommodation. On Friday night we will do a night dive. On Saturday we will dive Silfra, Thingvellir twice and during the night we go out to town looking at the night live in Reykjavik which is known to be very good or do one more dive. On Sunday we do sightseeing tour, a surprise activity and bathing in the Blue Lagoon thermal bath. On Monday you will be dropped off to the airport. You can also stay for extra days.
Included in this tour is all transportation, guided dives, accommodation, pictures from both above and under water on a CD, tanks and weights. Flights to and from Iceland and meals are not included. You can rent all the equipment from us, or bring your own.
Minimum 2 participants - Maximum 10 Participants.
NITROX is available for all dives on this tour and NITROX courses can be done.
Location description: SILFRA - If you come to Iceland just having enough time to do one dive or two. There is no doubt, Silfra is the one you want!
Silfra is a world top 10 diving site located in about hour drive from Reykjavik. Silfra is actually a crack in the face of the earth between the European plate and the American plate, which are drifting apart about 4-6 cm every year.
Silfra has a constant temperature of 1-3°C all year around because water is coming up from the lava after traveling for years underground from our glaciers. You can swim out the crack effortless because of a mild current pushing you.
Silfra offers open water diving, caving and deep diving, but the depth is about 40 meters open water and 60 meters inside of a cave. Weather does not play any part in diving in Silfra, except itÒ‘s more beautiful in sunny weather. If we can go up there, because of snow (during winter), we can dive there. Please go to our tour page if you wish to go diving in Silfra.
STRЭTAN - Thermal Chimney
This site is like nothing else in this world. ItÒ‘s just amazing looking and feeling the warm water coming out of this 55 meters high thermal chimney.
Strэtan is another place we can rank in world top 10 diving sites list, because this thermal chimney is just like nothing else in this world. Itґs simple one of it kind.
Strэtan is a thermal chimney build up from a hot water spring on the bottom of 70 meters, rising like a tower up to about 15 meters depth. Divers diving there can see hot water rising up from it all over it and you can even feel the hot water.
Strэtan is a place where you can see all kinds of sea life, expecially the small animals hiding there in the warmer water. But most of the times there are dozens, or even hundreds of Cods swimming up and down the thermal chimney. Please go to our tour page if you wish to go diving in Strэtan.
HINDISVНK - Vatnsnes
For the divers wanting to get in touch with the wildlife, dive among hundreds of seals with their baby seals, a great adventure you will never forget.
Hindisvнk is just one of some places in Iceland where you can dive among seals.
Hindisvнk is a beautiful place in the north part of Iceland where you can enjoy untouched nature as well as doing some of your greatest dives.
EL GRILLO - Wreck
El Grillo is a wreck in Seydisfjordur on the east coast of Iceland.
El Grillo is a 7.264 ton and 147 meter Oil Tanker which sunk in Seydisfjordur February 10th. 1944 after a air strike by 3 German planes. ItÒ‘s about 45 meters depth there to the bottom, but about 27 meters down to the shallowest point.
El Grillo was equipped with some air defence guns and some of them are still down there. The rest of the oil from the tanker was pumped up in the summer of 2002 after years of leaking, so now itÒ‘s oil free and great fo diving.
VESTMANNAEYJAR is a group of islands few kilometers south from the south coast of Iceland. These islands are made from volcanic activity, the last one in 1973.
