We have a boat NAOM EANNA.
The Naom Eanna was built by Liffey Dockyard in Dublin 1958 for CIE, the National Transport State Company. Her role was to ply between Galway Docks and the Aran Islands on the West Coast, bringing essential supplies to the inhabitants of this offshore community. For 30 years she served this route, until withdrawn from service in November 1988. The Irish Nautical Trust secured her from a fate in the scrap yard and brought her to Grand Canal Basin, where she is now the home to Flagship Scuba and Surfdock, thus maintaining a continuing link with maritime matters. We believe that we are unique in the world in having an operation like this on board a ship, and hope that you find the experience of visiting us a memorable one.
