Company description In Malta there is plenty to choose from whether it is history or sport or any other activity that you may wish to engage in apart from diving. We take pride in providing a holistic service for our diving customers but also for any accompanying non-divers. Just tell us in advance about your diving/non-diving timeframe and we`ll try to provide you a series of solutions in order to get the best possible out of the time available for your stay here in Malta.
We have result in photography competition.
Joseph (our director of diving) took part in the photography competition organised by Atlam sub acqua club. This year was the first year that there was a digital photography category and Joseph came a close second from a group of photographers. For Joseph this was the very first time that he took part in a competition unlike most of the participants who have taken part in other photography related competitions. We are obviously very proud of such a result.
Our Certificate Courses:
*Discover Scuba
Try scuba diving in safe confined water environment under the constant supervision of a qualified PADI professional. If you decide to take up a more comprehensive course this session will be credited to the course taken up.
*PADI Discover Scuba Diving
For all of those who want a bit more than just a try! Participants will enjoy a confined water session and a 30 to 45 minute try dive in the sea under the supervision of a qualified PADI instructor. Prior to the dive, participants will be briefed on basic functioning of the equipment and safety procedures used during the dive. A PADI certificate of completion (valid for one year) is presented at the end of the session. Holders of the certificate may top up their diving qualification by taking the remaining modules for either the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification.
*PADI Bubblemaker
Allows children to experience the underwater world with scuba equipment within a shallow, confined environment under close supervision of a PADI professional.
*Open Water Diver
Included 5 confined water sessions, 4 open water sessions and 5 theory lessons. By the end of the course students would be confident with the equipment and capable of diving in relatively undemanding conditions. As a pre-requisite, students should be able to swim and will be given a simple water-work exercise to complete.
*Scuba Diver
A shorter version of the Open Water intended for those who are restricted on time. It consists of 3 confined water sessions, 2 open water sessions and 3 theory lessons. Once qualified students will be limited to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters and must be accompanied by a PADI certified professional (e.g. instructor) throughout the entire dive. Qualified PADI scuba divers may complete the remaining units in order to gain PADI Open Water certification at a later stage.
*Advanced Open Water Diver
This course contains very little theory as most of it would have been covered during the Open Water course. Participants must hold a PADI Open Water Qualification or its equivalent. It is almost exclusively diving.
*Adventure Diver
A shorter version of the Advanced Open Water. It consists of 3 open water specialty dives. On consultation with the instructor, the student may choose any three dives from Wreck, Boat, Multi-level, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Photographer, Search and Recovery, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep and Navigation.
*Scuba Review
This is intended for qualified divers who have not been diving for a long time and would prefer to brush up their skills.
*Rescue Diver
Participants must hold Advanced Open Water certification (or its equivalent) and First Aid certification.
*Emergency First Response
The course provides training in emergency care and first aid, including CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation).
*Master Scuba Diver
Choose any 5 PADI specialities to achieve the highest level as a diver
*PADI Divemaster
...and many more!
Location description: Malta is blessed with a combination of factors that makes it an ideal place for both inexperienced and experienced divers. Underwater visibility is generally over 30m and the great majority of sites are accessible from the shore. Some of the sites are particularly suitable for divers who may have physical disabilities. Depths vary from 6m to 30m and deeper. Bottom composition also tends to vary from sandy bottoms, sea grass meadows, rock formations all of which house distinct aquatic life. Wrecks and caverns at different depths make it ideal for anyone who would like to try these particular sections of diving. Not to mention some of the best wall diving can be done around here with sheer drops along the cliffs that extend beyond 40m. In brief, anyone who wishes to extend his/her diving education in any particular specialty may be catered for as these dives are done practically every day. Naturally weather conditions always need to be taken into account. You may wish to have a look at some of the most common sites found across the Maltese Islands.
In some sites it is easy to encounter archeological artifacts some of which may date up to the Roman era. Some of the wrecks are from the Second World War. Souvenir collection is clearly prohibited by local laws and offenders will be prosecuted. Should you think that you have come across an item of potential archeological interest please inform your instructor/dive center who will in turn relay the information of the Museums Department. As divers we all have a collective responsibility to take care of the aquatic environment by practicing `environmentally friendly` diving. Our concern is that you get the best of the diving the Maltese Islands offer with the minimum disturbance to aquatic life. Should you wish to engage in any activity involving local fish life (e.g. photography) please inform us and we will be happy to provide advice.
Unaccopanied. All divers who wish to dive on their own with their buddy may do so, on presentation of PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent certification by other agencies (e.g. CMAS Two Star Diver, BSAC Sport Diver, SSI Advanced Open Water, etc) or higher diving qualification. It is always recommended to check with the diving centre as to where would be suitable to dive, depending on weather conditions and experience.
