Company description German diving instructor Udo Türscherl left his homeland for good. Came to Malta and founded Octopus Garden. That was in 1990!
Well, that was a long time ago and he is still here. Hundreds of divers have visited Octopus Garden over the years and many return time & time again, convinced that Malta offers some of the best diving in the Med.
Today, Udo is still running his diving schools at the Gilleru and Suncrest Hotels. One of the reasons Octopus Garden is so popular is that Udo believes that diver safety and a friendly professional atmosphere are paramount.
As well as well maintained rental gear, our dive shop also offers a large selection of popular diving equipment for sale from leading brands such as Scubapro, Mares, Bare and Aqualung. We offer professional advice if required.
Diving trips are professionally organised but in a casual friendly manner.
A detailed briefing is given before each dive and small groups guarantee a safe and relaxed dive……and the freshly brewed coffee waiting for you back at the dive centre, well, that goes without saying.
The instructors & guides are all multilingual and the majority are fluent in English .
Together with our qualified Instructor team we endeavour to make your diving holiday something special.
This includes also a wide selection of courses, from a “Taster” dive right up to Team leader / Divemaster. All courses and theory sessions are held in English or German
Location description: From our own jetty we dive the most beautiful reefs and caves that surround the Maltese Islands, also offering daytrips to Malta’s west and north coast and the islands Comino and Gozo.
The dive sites around the islands offer crystal clear waters and comfortable temperatures of up to 26 ºC during the summer months, offering a perfect environment for beginner and experienced divers. Dive into a world of Mediterranean beauty….reefs, wrecks, caves and drop-offs.
