Company description Strømsholmen is a professional dive-center specially for those who seek ocean, fjords and fantastic nature. Here we have an eldorado for sports divers and fishing interested, with 65 specially suitable dive-sites. We have place for boats and parking-space for those who travel by car.
A fantastic experience is waiting for you.
The area offers fantastic diving in crystal clear water, giant sea tangle forest, numerous wrecks, a rich marine life, drop-offs and white shell sea-beds. The flora and fauna here is both abundant and diverse due to the effect of the Gulf Stream, and can compete with anywhere in Europe.
Marine life includes various corals, sponges, starfish, shells, crustaceans, fish, etc., and it is not unknown for killer whales to visit the area.
:strømsholmen’s facilities near the ocean contains:
-Compressor-room with 2 compressors 200/300 bar.
-Capacity: 700 l/m. n - Airbank with 120.000 liter air.
-Workshop andDressing-room with dryer for suits.
-Safekeeping of dive-accessories.
-Showers and toilet.
-Docks close to dressing-room.
-E6-film developing.
-Divers-pub with beer and wine.
-Shrimp-evenings is arranged in the right environment in the divers-pub.
-Shellfish parties can be reserved on advance.
Strømsholmen is also hiring out underwater photo-equipment. You can also rent or buy Dive-equipment, rent an underwater scooter and wind-surf at Strømsholmen.
Strømsholmen is based upon visitors making their own food, but if you wish, you can reserve full pension, but contact us in advance. Shops and post-office close by.

Location description: Also we offer 6 days safari in Norway October - November.
Every year in October-November, the probably largest gathering of killing whales in the world take place in Lofoten, due to enormous amounts of herring. More than half of the norwegian killer whale population enter the fjord. Sometimes as many as 700 whales can be observed at the same time. We follow the whales closely to watch them play and feed. When possible, we enter the water and dive with them. To be with these magnificent animals in their own habitat is an experience for life.
We operate from a well equipped 91ft live-aboard cutter with compressor, tanks and weights for 12 divers. Name of the boat M/S "Langoysund". The safari starts in Korsnes, Tysfjord and lasts 6 days. A specially chosen DC with the best diving in Northern Europe. No limit diving tanks, air and weight belts included,
