The director, Antonio Tocornal (Toni), PADI instructor, has more than 20 years experience in the diving world.

In 1996 he restored together with his wife and partner, Martine, an antique fisherman`s house in the heart of Cala Bona, right in the harbour.

He converted the house into a place most suited for a diving centre. 300 m2 with all the necessities to fulfil any diver`s needs:
classroom with audio-visual equipment,
equipment-room where you can safely leave your own equipment, repair-shop,
filling-station with two Bauer compressors to provide the best air quality,
enriched air filling-station,
diving-shop,
area for washing and drying the equipment,
and all of this just 15 metres away from the boat!

The ALBATROS DIVING team are professional and highly-qualified people and they are always there to serve and to help you with anything you may require. They are regularly trained in life-saving techniques, first aid and diving problem management.
You can surely trust them in handling groups of divers, taking care of the boat and diving safety devices.
Of course you are spoken to in your own language. You will experience a very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere in the diving centre and a lot of divers like to stay there far longer than just for diving.
Experience proves that many of them come back year after year. One of our main objects is safety and therefore we have worked out an emergency evacuation plan with Medisub, a medical company that offers the best specialists in diving medicine and with THE ONLY DECOMPRESSION CHAMBER ACTUALLY OPERATING on the island. But our best guarantee:
in more than 20 years of history of ALBATROS DIVING and with several thousands of divers who have learnt and dived with us, we have never been in need of it!

The “ SCUBEE ” `` is a boat especially designed by and for divers. With is 7,5 m length and its Yamaha 200 HP it can easily carry 20 divers with all their equipment. It is a very fast boat as well. Its maximum speed is 45 knots.
Our boat is well fitted out with all the necessary equipment a diving boat should have: first-aid kit, oxygen, fire extinguisher, VHF radio, safety jackets.
The “ SCUBEE ”`` lies in the harbour at just 15 m distance of our centre, so you do not have to carry your equipment very far and neither do you have to embark from the beach.
The boat is designed leaving a platform of 6 m2 in the middle where the divers easily can put on their equipment.
A stainless steel rack for 15 tanks contains the bottles for the second dive.
Moreover there is a ladder on board so that it is quite easy to get out of the water. The V-shaped front bow of the boat ``cuts`` through the waves so that every boat trip turns into a pleasant and relaxing experience even for those who might suffer from seasickness. Cristal clear water, smooth as a mirror, that is the priviledge of the bay of CALA MIILOR and its surroundings. Big rocks, fields of Posidonia and some sandy areas form all together the perfect combination for the development of one of the richest mediteranean eco-systems. Through the various and beautiful landscapes you will see a wide range of sealife:groupers, moray eels, congers, barrakudas...

The average visibility is about 30 meters and the temperature varies between 20 C in April and 28 C in August.
Those who love cave diving will be very pleased with the enormous amount of caves, clefts and tunnels of every level of difficulty to be found here. We have made a selection of 20 different diving sites varying between 15 and 30 metres deep and at a distance of no more than 20 minutes boat-ride. Our diving area lies between Cala Ratjada in the north and Porto Cristo in the south. Everybody can enjoy diving here, no matter what your experience is or what your requirements are, there is definitely something there for you.
And for those who want to try them all, you will never have the feeling of doing the same dive twice.
Show us your diving licence and your logbook and we will inform you about the different diving sites. You will find with us a personal treatment. We make small groups of divers (max.4) with the same experience and guided by an Instructor of our team.
If you do not want to bring your own equipment, you can rent everything here.
But if you have brought your own things you can easily leave them with us during your holiday instead of having to take all this wet material to your hotel. Every morning we meet at the diving centre at 09:30 (but if you want to, we pick you up at your hotel first) and there we start with all the preparations: the divers are divided into groups, we decide where we go to and we embark in the ``Scubee`` with two tanks each. Then we are ready to take off and spend the whole morning at sea.

The estimated time back is about 13:30 after 2 unforgettable dives (each dive about 60 minutes and the first dive a bit deeper than the second).
