Our Dive Centers are also recognised by the non-profit organisation CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques).
Usually we plan two dives per day, in order that we have time to make a surface interval and to eat something. Each dive is approximately 45 minutes, dependent on the depth and experience of the divers. We dive in small groups of 2 - 6 divers, accompanied by one of our qualified divemasters, who serves as a guide underwater and ensures the safety of our divers. Depth limits are set according to the qualification of the divers, so don`t forget certification cards, logbook (download a page) and dive insurance. There is no problem if you are certified through an other diving agency (for example BSAC CMAS FFESSM BARAKUDA NOB etc.)
We offer the following packages:
6 dives (3 days)
10 dives (5 days)
15 dives (7 days with a night dive included)
Our clients can choose which days they want to dive and don`t have to take all days in a row.
Packages for clubs including pleasure dives and courses can be organized either using the club instructors to undertake the training with our staff as guides, or using our qualified PADI instructors, for more information please contact us.
The Blue ExplorersTM Dive Center team consists of Instructors and Divemasters from many different countries in Europe, according to the nationalities of our guests. Our team members are all PADI professionals and are selected on their experience and motivation.

For all diving activities a medical statement is obliged to be signed at our center prior to commencement of activities, furthermore, we recommend that holiday insurance that covers diving is taken.
If you are considering becoming a PADI Instructor then the Canary Islands and Blue Explorers are the perfect choice. As they are part of Spain, you need no entry visa for Gran Canaria and the other Islands if you hold a European passport. The flying time from the rest of Europe is never more than four hours. Gran Canaria is also accessible by sea. A regular ferry service runs between Cadiz on the southern tip of Spain and Las Palmas, the capital city.
Blue Explorers will be hosting a PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and Instructor Examination (IE) again in spring 2003 with our resident Course Director Antonio Martell (CD 910616) of Gran Canaria. The course is ten days long and unlike some other IDC schedules, includes extra study time with Antonio to brush up on diving theory to ensure success. Antonio will be available for all the candidates ``...as late in the evening as they feel they need me, whenever they want...``.
We can also supply you with the PADI Instructor ``Pro`` canvas briefcase style bag (25.-) though this is NOT a required material for the course.
It is required that the candidate becomes familiar with the materials before attending the course, having completed the exercises in sections 1 to 5 of the Diving Knowledge Workbook, and ALL the knowledge reviews in the IDC Candidate Workbook. The candidate must have available all the materials before the first day of the course. PADI Open Water Diver Course
5 theoretical lessons (to learn everything about diving),
5 confined water sessions (to learn all the necessary diving skills) and 4 dives in the sea (to practice the skills and to discover the fun). The book is included in the price.
Course:
Tuesday until Friday from 9.00 until 18.00
Thursday until Monday ( Saturday off ) from 9.00 until 18.00.
Sunday until Wednesday from 9.00 until 18.00
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
It`s when the real fun begins. In the open water course you learned about the basic in diving, now you will specialize in five areas: Deep Dive when you will learn and experience how it really feels to breeth air at deepth (around 30 m) in a fun and safe way. Underwater Navigation (Natural and compass). Learning how to navigate in the underwater world, without getting lost or wasting valuable time. Peak Performance Boyancy Here you will learn to make the most out of your BCD, so you will help preserve the fragile underwater-life. Multilevel(how to use a computer and the Wheel), Search and Recovery (how to find an object underwater and bring it back to the shore) or Underwater Naturalist (you will learn more about the marine life) Also included is two optional dives.
PADI Rescue Diver
Theoretical lessons (to learn how to react in all diving related incidents), 5 Water session (to practice in different scenarios). Equipment rental is not included.
