Company description The Deep Impact diving center was founded 1999, lies right by the shore and offers state-of-the-art equipment supplied by some of the most renowned manufacturers of diving equipment, such as Apeks, Beuchat, Scubapro or JWL - Aqualung.
We have spacious premises with a separate room for theory lessons, our own workshop, 15 complete sets of rental equipments
(choose between 10 l, 12 l and 15 l tanks), two compressors / nitrox unit and a rib boat. The boat have full first-aid-equipment including oxygen. The nearest decompression chamber is only 16 km (10 miles) away.
Our qualified team managed by DEEP IMPACT owners Catharina Lessing and
Volker Borchert will ensure you a safe, friendly and personal service as they
introduce you the Costa Calidas finest Dive sites. We are able to offer training courses by PADI, CMAS/Barakuda/DTSA, FEDAS, DAN and ITDA .
We are here to make your dive experience both enjoyable and safe! Certified divers
can go boat diving every day - there is always a site to visit whatever the weather is! For non certified divers we offer the full range of PADI Experience programms up from 8 years! In our Dive Shop you will find a wide range of high quality dive equipment and clothing.

Location description: Our Dive Sites:
*Cala Fria
Two Bays at Cabo de Palos; good Shoredive; max. Depth 16 meters, nice underwater landscape; lot of fish, very good for beginners; our dive site for Night Dives
*Cala Cortina
Bay in the area of Cartagena; Shoredive; max Depth 11 meters; good for trainings dives or night dives, if we´ve bad weather condition in the area of La Manga this is the
place to go, because the bay is totaly sheltered, nice restaurant at the shore!
*La Laja
La Laja means flag; at the bottom there are pieces of plates etc to see because of the loss of cargo; Depth: 3-23 meters;
usually no current, small canyon, a lot of fish; good place for beginners, but also very nice for advanced divers
*El Farallon
Max. depth 23 meters; lot of fish; very nice underwater landscape; usually no current; also very good dive site for beginners
*La Campana
small reef 300m away from La Laja, min depth is 12m and max around 19m
*Bajo de Dentro
Very good dive site in the underwater naturepark; Depth: 4-50 meters; drop off; a lot of fish (Baracudas, perches, conger, mural eels, rays, red gorgonias, “ blue corals”); sometimes strong current; usual suitable for every level
*Bajo de Piles I - Bajo de Piles II
this dive site is also in the “ Islas Hormigas”, consist of two big rocks; max.depth appr. 33 meters; nicest area between 14-20 meters; a lot of fish; sometimes current
*Bajo de la Testa
close to the shore; Depth: 14 meters, no current; very suitable for beginners.
