Company description Welcome on the Free Dolphin Diving Lanzarote!
Free Dolphin Diving is located in the Timanfaya Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca in the south of Lanzarote.
As a PADI 5 star Gold Palm Resort dive center we provide excellent diving facilities, all the equipment you need and a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Our international and enthusiastic team of instructors welcomes you to make some exciting and offcourse safe dives.
Free Dolphin Diving is part of Dive College Lanzarote.
Dive College includes a chain of dive centers based in Holland, Germany and Spain.
Our friendly, international team of instructors will be very pleased to introduce you to the beautiful underwater world of Lanzarote.

In 1997 I did a try dive in Costa Rica and I loved it from the first minute.

For me underwater is the most amazing place to be.
There is beauty everywhere. Since a child I have loved the feeling of water. To be in the sea is a chance to visit another world. I started diving in 1997 and was hooked from the first
breath. I have been an instructor since February 2003 and have a vast knowledge of local diving. Allow me to introduce you to a new world by diving with me. I will make it a great experience for divers of all levels also first timers.

In 2003 I finished my studies of physical education in Holland. In the final year I had the unique possibility to do a traineeship abroad. I chose to go to a dive center at Lanzarote. Now I work here as a Divemaster.
Why diving? I have always been fascinated by the sea, both on the surface as under water. In my leisure time I always either do something with water sports or with skiing. What the future brings? Don`t know yet, but for now I like it here very much.
Our Diving Programs
Free try-out in the pool
Never tried scuba diving, but curious? At the Timanfaya Palace Hotel you can try scuba diving for free in the pool.
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3.30 pm you can experience for yourself what it is like to breathe underwater.
We also offer this opportunity at the Lanzarote Princess Hotel, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4 pm.
Discover scuba
Enthusiastic after you first try in the pool? Then come with us in the sea.
Every day we offer the Discover Scuba program, especially for people who have never dived before.
We start with a short explanation. Then we change into the dive kit and first make a tour in the pool.
After that we make a dive in the sea for about 30 minutes and enjoy all the wonders of this new and exciting world.
You will see shoals of fish in all kinds of colours, and if we are lucky we may even see angel sharks or rays.....
You can join a Discover Scuba every day from 10 till 12.
You will see that after that first exciting dive experience you will want to do more. And that is possible. If you start a course you will learn more about diving and the skills you need to become a certified diver. And you will be able to make some nice dives at the same time!
We offer all PADI courses starting from beginner to professional level. You can start every day and together we will work out a flexible planning for your course.
Since most of our clients are here on holiday with their family or friends, we can plan our courses around any tours or other outings that you have planned.
Location description: Whether you want to do wreck, cave, wall or reef dives, shallow or deep dives, boat or shore dives, it is all possible.
There are dive sites for every level, both for starting and experienced divers.
A selection:
· House reef
Every day you can make a dive at our house reef.
We start at 6 meters and follow the lively reef till a maximum depth of 18 meters. Enjoy the large shoals of colourful fish, watch the baracudas and meet our angel sharks and rays.
A perfect dive to start your holiday with!
· Flamingo Wall
With a maximum depth of 20 meters a superb wall dive for both beginners and more experienced divers.
What`s there to see? Well, no flamingos but an abundance of fish in all shapes, sizes and colours.
· Wrecks
If you enjoy wreck diving, this is the place to go.
No less than 8 wrecks, some of them still fully intact, at depths varying from 18 to 40 meters.
The wrecks attract a lot of fish including a group of baracudas.
· Cathedral
This superb dive takes you to a huge cave which is guarded by some big groupers.
This beautiful, colourful cave is enormously wide and high and is situated at a depth of 32 meters. A memorable dive!
· Night Diving
Twice a week we offer night dives, on Mondays and Thursdays.
Take this opportunity to discover the reef at night!
Enter the dark, moonlit waters with your torch and have a look at the now sleeping `daytime` fish or watch an octopus hunt around the volcanic rocks.
Weekly program
Our weekly program enables you to plan your dive holiday in advance.
Courses we provide:
· Open Water diver and Scuba Diver
These courses will be your first step to become a certified diver. The courses include theory and pool sessions and a number of dives. The Scuba diver course takes you 2 days.
As a Scuba diver you can dive all over the world with a professional guide at a maximum depth of 12 meters.
- Adventure and Advanced Open water Diver
Want to get more diving experience? Maybe make a deep dive, dive on a wreck or dive at night. It is all possible when you do the `advanced` courses.
With the Adventure diver course you choose three different dives that interest you. There are about 10 different possibilities to choose from. This course takes 1,5 days.
· Rescue diver and EFR
The next level, Rescue Diver, will make you more aware of other divers. You wil learn how to respond to emergencies that can take place when you are diving. This course takes approx. 6 days and includes both theory and water sessions. Even though it`s a serious subject you will also have a lot of fun.
The Emergency First Response course (EFR) will take you step by step through the primary care for victims, and will teach you things like emergency breathing and CPR. This 1 day course can be attended by both divers and non-divers.
