Company description Welcome!
Playa Santiago, a typical fishing village in the south, is the location of the Gomera Dive Resort. The Dive-Center is based at the Hotel Jardin Tecina. The Hotel itself is integrated into an beautiful botanical garden. A big contrast to the scanty vegetation of the south. With an elevator, which crosses about five floors through the cliffs, you enter the Club Laurel which is part of the Hotel and the Dive-Center.
The heated saltwater pool is next to the Center and therefore, we have perfect conditions for our PADI diving courses. You will find 20 complete equipments at the Dive-Center. We can offer cameras as well, as dive-computers, and we also have a classroom and all the facilities for your personal equipment. For diving we use forty 12 liter steel tanks. Information and diving: daily at 9.30 a.m. at the center.
Daily at 10 a.m. we leave in our small bus to the harbour, which is about 800 meters off, in order to reach with our dive boats (each 11 divers) one of the almost 20 dive locations at the coast.
Both boats have comfortable Ladder for easy entrance
We do everything to make your diving as safe as possible. Oxygen is always available on the boat, and there is a re-compression at the university hospital in Tenerife. In the unlikly event of an accident, the diver would be transported to the chamber via helicopter.
Please check your personal insurances, normally they do not cover these kind of costs.
We recommend that you have a special dive insurance, which will cover costs of an accident all over the world.
At the Dive Center you also have the possibility to buy a special dive insurance which is valid for one year all over the world.
Our experienced team of PADI instructors offers all courses from the beginner to the ``Master Scuba Diver``. All courses are taught by PADI Instructors and your safety is the most important for us. We start with courses for beginners at the Dive-Center on request. Experienced courses can be arranged individually.
Discover Scuba Diver
Discover the underwaterworld of La Gomera. It will take one day. In the morning you learn in an easy way what you have to do for a safe and relaxed dive in the open sea. In the afternoon you will have a safe dive under the supervision of your instructor in the open sea. After this course you have the possibility to do more dives within two weeks under the supervision of your instructor.
This is an easy and fast way to experience a fascinating sport and the new world underwater.

Scuba Diver
The first step to become a certified diver. This course takes two days. The first day we cover the basic knowledge in theory. In a pool session you learn the basic skills for diving. On the second day we repeat the skills from the pool in the sea and together with your instructor you explore the underwater world. One dive in the morning and another in the afternoon.
This course qualifies you dive together with an Instructor or an divemaster in the future. Your certificate is valid for life. You also have the possibility to upgrade your certificate to OPEN WATER DIVER, for twelve month.

Open Water Diver
The complete course, enabling you to dive independently without professional assistance. This course takes 4 days. In the first two days you learn all the theory and in the pool you practise all the skills you need for your diving future. In the third and fourth day you repeat your skills in the open sea. One dive in the morning and one in the afternoon.
As an Open Water Diver you can rent equipment at any divecenter and enjoy your dive together with your friends.

Location description: The southern coast of La Gomera has scarce currents and not only the experienced diver, but also the beginner will find some small caves, which are easily to dive, and display a spectacular underwater world.
Fish of the Caribbean, the Mediterranean an the Northern Atlantic are to be found in Canarian waters. Tunas, groupers, stingrays, barracudas and morenas, schools of mackerels and sardinas can be seen at almost every dive.
The nearest pressure chamber is to be found in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. A helicopter service guarantees the transport in about 1 hour.
