GRAHAM and SONIA have owned and run ISLAND DIVERS in Tenerife for 19 years and have gained an excellent reputation for their professional and friendly approach. They endeavour to tempt you back time and time again to visit them, share there company and do some great diving on their many varied sites. Their dive boat is moored in Puerto Colon Marina, Jetty No 4, Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife, and if you like a more relaxed, safe way to go diving then they have just what you are looking for. No trekking over beaches or walking long distances with full kit for their divers, the boat is loaded with the minimum of effort from a jetty ensuring a relaxed atmosphere and definitely NO STRESS !
The centre complies with all Spanish/Canarian legal requirements and holds the necessary permits for diving. It is also recommended by the Tenerife Tourist Board.
GRAHAM has years of experience in the diving industry and is a BSAC/CMAS 3 * Advanced Instructor , PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and SAA Instructor. Both used to dive and run BSAC and SAA dive clubs in the UK before coming to live in Tenerife, they have dived in many places around the world giving them a wealth of experience and knowledge.
The UK Office is run by their daughter Penny who can arrange your complete diving holiday inc flights, accommodation and car hire too. She can also offer advise on all aspects concerning your diving holiday in Tenerife and much more.

We are small, do not have a large dive shop and this is the way we like it, it gives us the time to spend with our divers and their families, and over the years we have made many friends who come back to Tenerife year after year, we think this speaks for itself !

We offer recognized diving courses to all levels. All diver training is undertaken mostly on a personal one to one basis, we do not teach in large groups so you will get the attention you need to be trained to a confident and capable level.

Accommodation is available for our divers in a small quiet complex situated in Costa del Silencio, South Tenerife, conveniently placed only 15 minutes from the South airport, and a short distance from our villa / dive centre. The apartments are situated in a private complex within a 5 minute walk from the sea. All the apartments are spacious and have one bedroom with twin beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge area, each can accommodate 4 persons. The first floor apartments have double sun terraces great for privacy whilst getting that all over tan !.
The complex has a fresh water swimming pool and children`s pool too, there is a well equipped supermarket providing all essential items food and papers etc.

Location description: Here are listed just a few of our Dive Sites we have many more for you to enjoy
AREANETAS ( 18-25M )
Very pretty dive in Palm Mar Bay, Los Cristianos. We enter at 6m and swim over a ledge into a depth of 12-13m then on though a reef gully filled with a large resident shoal of Silema, and sometimes sting ray`s resting on the white sand, trumpet fish and sardine can also be seen. At the end of the gully between the two reef`s a large shoal of Barracuda can be seen. We continue on until we reach a cavern filled with soft corals and a window looking to the surface. A nice easy relaxed dive for all levels.

BLACK CORAL ARCH (30-45m)
This is a very scenic dive too and through an arch adorned with black coral , a beautiful dramatic underwater scene that is surrounded by shoaling Barracuda in large numbers. Large stingrays are also seen here along with a many varieties of fish. NOTE: This is a dive for the experienced diver only, due to the depth reached and the currents that frequent this area , but not one to be missed if you like a challenge. Depth 30 - 45m
EAGLE AND STINGRAYS PLUS 2 SMALL WRECKS !
The wrecks are laying on the sandy bottom about 10m apart surrounded with fish of all varieties. This site is getting better and better Angel Shark are often sighted sleeping in the sand around and under the wrecks. Groups of bright silver Amberjacks, Bluefin Damselfish, Scorpion fish, Benito to have a look around, loads of shoaling fish too, this dive is proving to be a firm favourite with our clients old and new. All around an eel garden. Approx depth 20m
PARAISIO FLORAL A Stingray feeding site !
A series of reef systems with dramatic volcanic scenery. There are many different variety`s of fish and on this site who are very friendly and follow divers Rainbow wrasse, Trigger fish, Dentax, Catalufa and much more to see including some soft corals below the overhangs. A large anchor is also to be found here before you finish your dive.Eagle Rays and Sting rays that like being hand fed have now adopted this location they are very friendly , approaching divers as they swim past. Approx. depth 25m
LAS MORENAS
An exciting dive to visit a large group of different variety Moray eels from the common brown, to the Yellow Fang tooth moray`s, and an abundance of fish that gather on this reef system. We anchor in approx 20m on top of the reef and then drop down over the wall to where the moray`s inhabit almost every crevice they are quite tame and often come out to look around at the visiting divers. Nearby on the sand bottom a cave entrance marked with a cross outside, a stark reminder of the dangers that can lie within ! Approx. depth 25 -30m
WHALES AND DOLPHINS
A rare chance to see dolphins and pods of Pilot whales in their natural habit in the warm waters just off our coastline, we can advise on a selection of boat excursions available from Puerto Colon Marina
