Company description Welcome to Los Abrigos Divers.
We are a PADI authorised, fully insured diving centre located in the popular fishing village of Los Abrigos on the south coast of Tenerife. Our diving centre is run by Mike and Hazel who together with the friendly and helpful staff offer first class service and year round snorkelling, shore and boat dives, with a full range of courses suitable for the beginner up to professional levels. Whether you are thinking about learning to dive, deciding where to dive or looking to further your diving education we will be more than happy to answer your questions and share our experience with you
The Dive Centre is an approved PADI dive centre and is ideally located close to all the most popular dive sites.
We are open from 09.30 - 18.00hrs 7 days a week and via mobile phone until 21.00hrs in the evenings.
All diving equipment is supplied for your course and is regularly inspected and maintained to a very high standard.

We cover the very best dive sites here in Tenerife where you can dive with a wide variety of aquatic life including Stingrays, Angel Sharks, Lobster, Cuttlefish, Squid and Octopus. If you feel like trying something a bit different you can discover the hidden mysteries of one of our shipwrecks or one of our underwater caves with their wonderful variety of coral.
From one off dives to full professional certificates, we offer group or one on one tuition with our fully qualified instructors.
Learning to dive is easier than you think, anyone who is reasonably fit, in good health and is comfortable in the water can learn and perhaps go on to earn PADI certification. We offer all levels of training from snorkelling and our Discover Scuba Experience for those of you who just want to try it, through to professional qualifications for those of you who, like most of us, have been bitten by the ``diving bug``. The following pages are a few of the dives available to you, all accompanied by fully qualified and authorised PADI instructors and Divemasters.
Provided courses:
Beginner
For a whole new experience of views under the water and the exciting feeling of weightlessness only diving can give you we invite you to join us on our Discover Scuba Experience, you can dive to a depth of 6 metres for 30 minutes with one of our PADI professionals and receive your Discover Scuba card and certificate.
Then it is on to Discover Scuba Diving, a little theory, some simple exercises and a dive up to 12 metres in the sea, you are then qualified to dive anywhere in the world with a PADI professional within a 12 month period. 1/2 Day
Intermediate
Believe it or not you can become a qualified Scuba Diver in just 2 days. You learn some theory, do 3 pool dives and 2 sea dives and once completed you will receive certification from PADI that qualifies you for life to dive up to 12 metres anywhere in the world in the company of a PADI professional. 2 days
The PADI Open water course is the most popular dive programme in the world. As a certified PADI Open Water diver you have the freedom to dive to 18 metres anywhere in the world. Course includes 5 pool sessions, 5 knowledge review sessions and 4 open water dives. 4 Days
We also offer a range of specialist courses including Nitrox training.
Advanced
Here at Los Abrigos divers we take your safety very seriously and as a Rescue Diver you can expand your knowledge and experience beyond the recreational by considering the well being and safety of others. Although a serious course this is a fun way to learn. 2/3 Days
Emergency First Response gives you the tools and confidence you need to perform CPR and emergency First Aid. This course helps to prepare you for the unexpected. 1 day
And GO PRO
We offer the full range of PADI courses including Instructor.
Location description: The majority of diving here in Tenerife is around the south and west coast of the Island. Here in Los Abrigos we are ideally situated close to all of the best sites available to you. The sites vary in depth from 5 to 50 metres making the Island ideal for divers of any level. Diving is available all year round with water temperatures varying from 18 to 24 degrees and visibility ranging from 5 to 30 metres. The diving here really is superb, every site is different every time you dive it. Dives are available from shore or boat.
Black Cove
Black Cove is a great dive, where you can see puffer fish and shoals of bream, also teeming with garden eels the dive takes you through a shallow reef of white rock and around overhangs and crevasses
Abades
Abades is a small picturesque village close to one of the best protected sandy beaches in Tenerife. It is an ideal site for both beginners and the more qualified with a sand bottom and beds of sea grass.
There is an amazing array of marine life including Rays.
Playa Paraiso
Playa Paraiso offers several different dive sites catering for all levels. Ranging in depth from 5 - 30 metres
The site offers a large range of Marine life all in an area with a breathtaking backdrop of rock formations.
Las Eras
Las Eras is home to some of the most attractive marine life available in Tenerife. There is a swim through where the rock formations are breathtaking.
A rich mix of sub tropical life is never far away including barracuda, morays and Angel sharks. Although only available weather permitting this is a ``must do dive``
Las Galettas
Las Galettas offers many dive sites all easily accessible from our boat dives. Including Coral Arch, Champignon and Stingray City this is also home to our wreck dives. Condesito shipwreck is just a 15 minute rib ride from the harbour.
