Company description MERMAID DIVING is situated in the beautiful town of Moraira on the Costa Blanca, which is approximately 120 km south of Valencia and 85 km north of Alicante which are the two main airports into the Costa Blanca.
We at MERMAID DIVING offer first class diving facilities, courses and equipment. Whether you want to rent or purchase from our extensive shop we are only too willing and assist.
As we are a PADI Gold Palm IDC Center, we can offer offer the full range of PADI courses from try dives right the way through to instructor levels. Our caring and understanding multilingual staff will cater for all your needs and requirements whatever they may be.
We can offer courses in English, Spanish, German and French
We can offer our local expertise on all dive sites and even take you to others that we have recorded. Our dive instructors offer a varied range of specialties, whether it be Photography courses or Wreck diving we can cater to your needs.
Plus we are the only dive center in Europe to have the Aquaglider which glides underwater like an airplane. It is a 3 man open hulled submarine.
Within the center we have incorporated it into two separate areas.
The “dry” area:

The Dolphin Divers Club welcomes all Water Lovers, Scuba Divers and Adventurers of all ages, levels, training organizations and nationalities.
The club`s aim is to create a social environment for all divers to meet, to share their diving experiences with others, meet new divers, visit new places , and keep divers diving.
Whether you are new to this sport or whether you are diving veterans, the dives are arranged as to cover all levels of diving, and give you the comfort level and experience that you want. The social activities are planned in order to allow also the non-diving family members a way to get together and have fun. We have regular boat dives, BBQs, club meetings, club parties and much more.
MERMAID DIVING offers you, in excellent conditions, theoretical and practical PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) courses from complete beginner to Instructor. PADI is the world’s largest recreational diving membership organization.
At MERMAID DIVING we use the complete PADI Education System for all of our PADI courses, including Student Training Kits, Videos, Workbooks, Quizzes and Exams and all available PADI Training Aids in order to give you the best training available. We can provide these training materials in any of the following languages: English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch. There are no shortcuts to safe and proper training. Your safety and the quality of your education are our highest priorities.

Location description: MORAIRA is an old fisherman`s village, hidden by mountains made up of beautifully
terraced vineyards and green pine forests which all go towards creating a fantastic microclimate guaranteeing an annual average temperature of 18.C, with the sea temp. of 27.C in summer, dropping to 15.C in winter.
Today, thanks to the tourism the town has grown and yet, it hasn`t lost the typical fishing port atmosphere.
Some of dive sites:
Guardalavaca, CUBA
Guardalavaca is an exotic tropical resort located in Northeast of Cuba. With its turquoise water, white sandy beaches and long coral reefs this site is “A Scuba Diver’s Paradise”!
Eagle Ray diving center can offer you more then 21 dive sites to choose from, ranging from 5m to 40m depth. The center also offers a large variety of diving courses, day and night dives, and plenty of activities that will keep you busy throughout your stay.
Cienfuegos & Varadero, CUBA
Cienfuegos has one of the largest and cleanest bays in the Carribean. It is also known as “the Pearl of the South”.
Varadero is the most famous of all Cuba’s beaches that stretches over 20 kilometers of white sandy beaches and warm crystal clear waters.
Diving includes shipwrecks, flooded caves, the “blue hole”, coral barriers and even the feeding of friendly moray eels.
Sharm el Sheikh, EGYPT, RED SEA
Sharm el Sheikh is situated on the Southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. Diving is still the main attraction in Sharm el Sheikh and you can also find a lot of other water sports, excursions and activities like a camel back ride at sunset in the desert or a visit to Mount Sinai and the St. Katherine Monastery.
Shark’s Bay is a pure haven in the South Sinai offering a traditional Bedouin welcoming atmosphere. The site is located 12 km North of Sharm el Sheikh and 6 km North of Naama Bay. The National Park of Ras Mohamed and the wrecks Dunraven and Thistlegorm are only a few hours away
Dahab, EGYPT, RED SEA
Dahab whose name in Arab means gold, is a small village, set apart by the destinations more frequented in the region. The village is situated 90 Kms northeast of Sharm el Sheikh, in a splendid geographical position, around an ample natural oasis. Its horizon lies between the warm reflexes of the dunes and the shining colors of the sea. In the 5 miles around town you can find famous diving sites like the Blue Hole, the Canyon, Light-House and many more. Towards the Israeli border is the Coral Island, where the Crusaders built a beautiful fort whose remains still stand.
Cocos Islands, COSTA RICA - LIVEABOARD
This dreamy site is located in the Eastern Tropical Pacific, 300 miles from Costa Rica,surrounded by crystal clear water with an abundance of Manta rays, Hammer Heads or the occasional White Tip roaming these waters. You can also find a variety of crabs, octopus, fish, morays and corals. The dives are to 20-30m deep and the water temp. 27-30C. Once there – you will not want to return home.
