Company description We are a small and familiar PADI RESORT and MARES DIVE CENTRE, in Corralejo, in the north of the island of Fuerteventura. Founded since 1992, the German man Gegge and the Belgian man Kristof occupied themselves from then on to bring to you closer to fun and safe diving expreriences
For our dives around the island of Lobos, we have a 90PS Zodiak available. Our centre is close to the harbour. We use the jeeps to transport our diving equipment to the boat.the Land Rovers are very useful for our excursions to the south of the island and the shipwrecks in Lanzarote.
The training in our centre ranges from try dives over specialities, to attaining proffessional licenses. For these, and for excursions, we always organise small groups. We have international DAN insurance, aswell as rapid access to a recompression chamber.
The future of recreational diving! You can choose between diving with air or Nitrox
``Enriched air or so called Nitrox`` is respiratory air with a reduced Nitrogen percentage. The usual air used in recreational diving is composed of 21% Oxygen and 79% Nitrogen. Most common Nitrox blends contain 32% and 36% of Oxygen. Until now, Nitrox was almost exclusively used in military and commercial diving while it was too expensive for recreational diving. Thanks to PADI and the development of the NRC Nitrox membrane, enriched air is also achievable for us sportsdivers.
Because of the lower Nitrogen content, the negative effects of it are considerably reduced. The possibility of suffering decompression sickness or `the bends` is much lower. Nitrogen narcosis is almost un-existing. We can plan dives with a longer bottom time and a shorter surface interval. Even doing more repetitive dives on one day, you experience less fatigue.
roducing Nitrox is considerably more expensive than filling tanks with normal air. The maximum depth of our dives is slightly reduced.

Location description: Our dive sites:
BURRO UND MONTAÑA ROJA
Small rivers of lava rock that run from land to sea. Due to good visibility here, it`s ideal for macro-photographers. A little further out, the sand bed drops from 10 to 40 metres. Here we find black coral, arrow crab, triggerfish, sea anemone.
BOCAYNA
Here we dive free falling 25m, where the wall starts and drop to 30m. Here we see hammerhead sharks, trutles, tunafish, eagle rays and schools of sardines.
CALAMAREO
A gorge that is of basaltic volcanic rock at about 14m depth, that has a vertical wall that drops to about 25m forming canyons and vaults. In and under the cracks in the rocks and wall we can see barracuda fish, stingray, angel shark, butterfly rays, scorpionfish, sea anemone.
ANCLA
A trench that is found along the reef that stretches from Corralejo to Playa Blanca (Lanzarote). This gorge drops from 12 to 20 m. We can find within grouper fish, black seabream, Dublin Bay prawns, trumpet fish, and eagle rays.
MARRAJO
A reef formed by two solid lava rocks upon a bed of sand in between 7 and 15m deep, we can see soft coral, yellow tail, parrot fish, morey eels, octopus....
BAJON DEL RIO
On the bed of this reef there is a mixture of loose rock and volcanic rock in the shape of mushrooms that measure upto 10m in height. Under these mushrooms we can find groupers, black seabream, trumpet fish, sparidae, snapper, triggerfish and schools of barracuda. Depth between 14 and 18m.
CARRERA
A trench with a sand bed surrounded by volcanic formations at 15-18m in depth with small caves and vaults. On the sand bottom sleep stingray, angel shark, torpedo fish, and on the roof of the wall we can see large goggle eye.
EL JABLITO
A small fishing village where a bay is protected by a wall of rocks thus making it ideal for beginners. A small reef between 2 and 15 metres of deep. We can see sea cucumber, arrow crab, scorpion fish, dragon head, tiger morey eels and sea horses.
EL COTILLO
We leave from this small fishing village circling the enormous walls of volcanic rock in depths between 5 and 20 m. Here we find snails, eels, red and black sea cucumber, angel shark, and schools of sardines.
WRACKTAUCHEN
A whole day long excursion. We go by ferry to Playa Blanca and then with the jeeps to Puerto del Carmen. Even though these wrecks are near the coast, we can only get to them via boat. The steel sunken boat is found at 20m depth and the wooden ones at 40m depth.
