Company description
PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the largest scuba diver training organization in the world, more popular than all the other agencies combined. Aquanaut uses the latest teaching methods including video presentations with instructor guidance. You will read your manual, watch the video with your instructor and then go off to the pool to put the skills into practice.
You will progress easily and confidently through each of the stages with close guidance from your instructor, who will make sure that you receive all the help that you need.
Unlike some dive training centers, Aquanaut provides all the necessary equipment including mask and fins that you will need to do the course. On completion of the course you will receive your personalized PADI Open Water certification card , which entitles you to hire equipment and dive anywhere in the world.
Some info about our courses:
PADI Open Water Diver Training Course.
Before your course commences you will be given your crew pack, which contains your manual and various other items.
The manual is divided into modules and at the end of each module there is a knowledge review. You will need to read the manual and complete the knowledge reviews
At the end of the academic part of the course is a 50-question exam on the theory that you have learnt. It isn`t difficult but you do need to have read the manual. A pass mark is 38 or above but if you score less than 38 you will have to retake the exam.
Any questions you answered incorrectly will be explained to you at the end of your exam. In your crew pack is a starter pack for your diving logbook. Please fill the logbook in with your basic information and fill in the dates of the academic pool or open water sessions. These will need to be signed by your instructor at the end of the course.
During the pool sessions it is advisable to wear a T-shirt or wet suit to stop the diving equipment rubbing. At the first pool session you will be required to swim 200 meters of the pool and tread water for ten minutes, for this you are not allowed to wear wet suits so please make sure you have suitable swimwear underneath.
In the pool you will put your skills into practice that you have read about in the manual and then seen in the video. If you have been considering learning to dive while on holiday, we can still help you.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Training Course.
The Advanced Open Water program continues your Open Water training and is one of the most fun and rewarding courses in the entire PADI System of continuing education. You`ll want to enrol immediately after finishing your Open Water course.
In this course, you will make three ``core`` or required dives - navigation, night and deep dive. You will also make elective dives that you choose with the guidance of your PADI instructor. Elective dives include altitude, boat, drift, dry suit, multilevel, search and recovery, underwater naturalist, underwater photography and wreck dives.
PADI Rescue Diver Course
The rescue diver course will familiarise you with the information and techniques you will need to help you assist another diver who is in trouble.
The course consists of a textbook and classroom sessions and five open water-training sessions.
A medic/first aid certificate is required before doing this course.
PADI Divemaster diving courses
Now that you`ve become a proficient diver and you know how to look after yourself and the people you dive with the next step is to turn professional and become a Divemaster.
As a Divemaster, you will be able to organise, conduct and supervise diving activities and be effective as an instructional assistant to an instructor.
You will be responsible for other divers, planning dives, and supervising students. The Dive master course is taught on a one to one basis. It is also a prerequisite to the Instructor Development Course.

And some words about our technical diving:
Nitrox diving
Course price £99
This training course is aimed at divers using single cylinders in a no decompression diving environment.
The course aims to educate and train divers to understand and utilise Nitrox mixtures up to and including Eanx 40% in single cylinders with a 3 litre cylinder for bail out.
The maximum depth of the course will be 30m, and 2 dives take place after a days theory. The dives are instructor led and supervised but no skills in the water take place other than DSMB deployment and bail out skills.
Advanced Nitrox
Cost of course £250
This is our most popular entry level course which aims to introduce skills and procedures required throughout your technical diving career.
The aim of the course is to introduce the use of twin sets and stage cylinders for decompression dives in the 40m range. Gases used are up to Eanx 40% in the twin sets and up to 100% in the stage cylinder.
One day`s theory is followed by 2 days diving unless this course is taken in conjunction with the decompression procedures course.
If you take the Advanced Eanx with Deco procedures please allow an extra day and add £100 to the course fee.
The maximum depth of the course is 40m and after you`ve completed Advanced Nitrox & Deco procedures you can go into the Entry level Trimix or take a combined ERD and Advanced Trimix course if you have sufficient twin set diving experience. 4 dives are made on this course with 2 extra dives
for deco procedures certification.
Diver decompression theory and procedures.
Cost of course £250
This course covers everything our Advanced Nitrox course but does not include the Nitrox content. Therefore we strongly suggest that you take the combined Advanced Nitrox and Deco procedures course or take the Deco procedures course alongside the Entry Level Trimix course.
Trimix Inspiration re-breather training
£550 (5 Day Course)
This course runs along the same lines as the Entry Level Trimix course and all skills are the same as Inspiration level 1.
Trimix CCR £450 if you did module one with us.
For the CCR Trimix course divers will need to bring 2 side mounted stages with 02 clean regulators and a suit inflation system.
Equipment is exactly the same as the other Trimix diver programs.
With Inspiration training there are only 2 levels as gas management requirements are far easier to plan on a CCR than OC. However we must stress that as with all programs, ambitions must be well within your abilities.
The maximum depth we go to on this course is 70m.
The course is 1 days theory and 4 days diving
The prerequisite for this course is 100 hours on the unit
and others.
