Company description Dizzy Divers was formed in August 2002.
The first seed was planted when I completed my “Club Diver” (BSAC) training with Milton Keynes Sub Aqua Club.
The total feeling of freedom that diving gave made me aware of how fortunate I was to have found this sport. I have considered learning for many years and now regret that it took me so long to “Take the Plunge”. I now feel I want to offer other, less – abled people the opportunity of “Being Free”. This is my contribution to that mission.
The first task was to raise money. We have been in contact with potential Sponsors, both Nationally, and Internationally, and the response so far has been good. The feedback to the original request for support was encouraging enough to form the organisation now known as Dizzy Divers. This is a slight play on words of Disabled Divers (I hope you approve).
Based on the pledges received on the first round of requests, it would appear that our first Trainee could be booked on an Autumn training course. This is where we need the help of you individual divers. Our pledges mainly come as goods to be sold or raffled, if you visit our Charity Shop and buy some goods this will help raise the necessary fees. (i.e.training, possible special equipment, travel, accommodation etc for trainees). If you or your company wish to become Sponsors, ( No matter how small the donation you will be included) then please contact us and we will gladly send you more information.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our on line scuba store, also due to the support of Beaver Sports and Denney Diving we can also supply (to order) the complete range of Beaver Products including T52, and of course the Ralphtech range from Denney Diving. All at discounted rates.
As a customer or sponsor of Dizzy Divers, you have automatically qualified for membership of Dizzy Divers Sub-Aqua Club.
The aim of the club is to keep you informed of progress, and also to ask you to participate in building a community amongst our members.
Location description: With water temperatures that vary from 24°C in summer to a comfortable 20°C in winter and visibility that can, at times, reach 35 meters the surrounding waters offer a myriad of dive sites that cater to all levels of diver qualification. Lying at the foot of the cliffs and just next door to the marina, there is a small, clean, black sand beach which is rarely crowded, despite being suitable for children. You may see it!
