Location description: Some of available dive trips:
Portland
We usually dive around Portland Harbor or in Balaclava Bay. With 4-5 dives over two days offering:
haunted wrecks like The Dredger, the Spaniard and the Countess of Erne.
St Abbs
The sleepy fishing village of St Abbs Located in the beautiful Scottish borders. The St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve contains relatively deep water close inshore and strong tidal movement which combine to provide some of the easiest and best shore diving in Britain
A big attraction is Cathedral Rock with its unique double archway which is a ``must see`` for any visiting diver. Big Green Carr.. Here you will find lots of beautiful walls, hopefully the resident wolf fish and on the seaward side, a sharply undercut wall full of holes and cracks known as the Amphitheatre. This is likely to be occupied by squat and common lobsters, velvet fiddler crabs, Yarrell`s blennies and occasionally, the elusive tadpole fish.
A beautiful and very easy dive. Seagull Rock has good vertical walls but these lead down largely to sand at about 12m. This is probably the most sheltered site in the area and this, combined with the reflective quality of the sand, means that the very best visibility can usually be found here. At the rear of Seagull Rock is a huge crack probably 4m wide, running from the surface to the sea bed.
BIG SQUID Pembrokeshire
The Pembrokeshire coast is Britain`s first and only coastal national park. Beneath the surrounding sea and around the scattered rocky inlets the outstanding natural beauty extends onwards, although hidden to most visitors to the area.
There are many seals in the area which may visit you while you wait for the boat to pick you up. If you tempt them by swimming away they may even come and play! Other sea life you may encounter include lesser spotted dog fish, octopus, conger eel, greater pipe fish , dolphins, porpoises, sea horse, trigger fish and even sunfish occasionally visit the coast.
The water is warmed by the gulf stream and visibility is usually excellent!!
Oban
The towering mountains of the lands of Lorn sweep down to the coast at Oban - unofficial capital of the West Highlands and `Gateway to the Isles`. A short ferry ride away lies the magnificent holiday Island of Mull and beyond, remote Hebridean Island gems, precious stone set in a silver sea.
Winding streets overlooking a picturesque bay, busy with the movement of fishing boats, yachts and ferries. For many Oban is the perfect West Highland retreat, a place to relax and unwind yet with plenty to see, do and discover.
and many others.
