Company description Situated in the county town of Essex and located in Great Baddow`s Victorian brewery, the dive centre has had a presence in Chelmsford since the 1980`s and is owned and managed by Bob Taylor.
We pride ourselves on running a friendly shop and have many regular customers who return time and time again for diving holidays, scuba training courses, dive trips, etc. along with all their normal equipment needs.
Why not come to one of our pool sessions and have a go! Try dives are supervised by our experienced Instructors and are a great way to experience near weightlessness! It`s almost guaranteed that after trying it, you`ll be hooked and want to go further.
Aqualand Divers is a PADI Dive Centre and a BS-AC Premier Centre which also provides TDI SCR.
Aqualand Divers can provide the training that suits you. Courses are run on a regular basis and we limit the number of students according to the course needs and individual requirements.
Why not experience it with a Try Dive. These are carried out at either of our two regular pools and are supervised by our experienced Instructors. Before entering the water we will show you how to put together your equipment and how it works, explain some simple diving physics and also show you how to give and respond to diving hand signals. After that, it`s into the pool where you will learn some simple skills and then it`s time to enjoy near weightlessness without having to go to outer-space and the exhilarating experience of being able to breathe underwater. It`s almost guaranteed that after trying it, you`ll be hooked and want to go further!
Pool Sessions
Tuesday evenings, between 9pm and 10pm, at Colchester Leisure World
Saturday evenings, between 7pm and 8pm, at Bramston Sports Centre, Witham
If you are a certified diver and have your own equipment, you are more than welcome to just turn up at the pool and get wet! If you want to use our equipment, please contact us so that we can ensure we have enough equipment available.
Location description: The Aqualand Divers Dive Centre is very easy to find and conveniently located, a couple of minutes drive from the A12/A130/A1114 junction, near Sandon and Howe Green. From this junction, take the A1114 towards Chelmsford and then take the first slip road on the left towards Great Baddow. At the end of this slip road bear left onto Church Street. The dive center is approximately 500 meters up on the right hand side, just after Bringy Pine (which has a very nice and convenient café) and the antique center.
