Company description In September 1982 Terry Wheal became a PADI Instructor after being enthusiastic about diving for many years, He felt he had a lot to offer other people, by teaching them to scuba dive and introducing them to the underwater world. He formed a school called North London Scuba which became very successful. Teaching many people from all walks of life some as famous as Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay.
In February 1987 after working at Dive Force part time and running the school Independently he became a Director and Dive Force Marine was formed incorporating the school.
Over the years Dive Force Marine has worked on many films and Television programmes. Also we have done recovery work in lakes, rivers and docks.
We have been arranging diving holidays for individuals and groups to many world-wide destinations over the last 20 years.
The company earned the rating of a 5 Star IDC Centre in 1994, which means we are among the select few who have earned one of PADI’s highest level for excellence and quality service, and while we are proud of the fact our facility has been selected as one of this elite group, we are prouder still of the personal attention and professional service that we offer.
Terry is still a very keen diver, and is eager to share his knowledge with others. Whether it is about diving experiences, diving equipment or any other advice that people want.
Terry Wheal was the founder of North London Scuba Club, which was formed in 1983. The club owns a X-RIB 115HP Mercury Optimax engine and trailer. Those members who have taken a recognised boat-handling course, on approval of the committee may skipper the boat. The boat is equipped with differential GPS which ensures prompt wreck finding, well equipped safety gear including Oxygen, EPRB’s per diving pair, VHF Radio, flares etc. The club goes on many trips through out the year and also holds social events as well.

Location description: As a PADI 5 star Instructor Development Centre (IDC) we offer course right through from beginners to Instructors.
*Bubble Maker
This is to introduce 8 to 11 year olds to the thrill of breathing underwater, with a qualified PADI Instructor, in an enjoyable, safe controlled swimming pool session to a depth of up to 2 metres.
*PADI Seal Team
The PADI Seal Team program is designed for children from the age of 8 years old.
*Discover Snorkelling
The course consists of: 2 Pool Sessions,Discover the underwater world video,Snorkeler’s field guide
*Discover Scuba
You will be brief with the Discover Scuba diving flip chart and taken into the pool to start your scuba diving adventure.
*Openwater Referral
This course is designed for people that wish to do all their Theory and pool sessions before deciding to do their openwater dives.
*Scuba Diver
At the end of the course you will be able to dive under the supervision of a qualified Instructor or Dive-Master down to a maximum depth of 12 metres.
*Open Water Diver
On completion of this course you will be qualified to dive with another diver to a maximum depth of 18 metres anywhere in the world.
*Advanced Open Water Diver
The course involves students in various underwater tasks that broaden their awareness of the environment and their capabilities as divers.
*Emergency First Response
This course will teach you Basic first aid skills through to CPR and the use of a Defibrillator.
*Rescue Diver
Prepares the diver to deal with diver rescues, manage diving accident situations and apply proper first aid.
*Nitrox Speciality

``All good quality masks are made from silicone., and have tempered glass lenses. (like a car windscreen).The skirts on the masks usually have double skirts. This is a second inner skirt that provides a double seal, and a more comfortable fit. This second skirt usually extends around the entire edge, with the exception of the very bottom. This section allows water to drain more easily during mask clearing. Some masks have a purge valve. This is a one-way valve that allows divers to expel water from their masks without having to look up or break the skirt seal from their face at any point.
Most masks are low profile masks. Which means they are easier to equalise and easier to clear. They also have a wide field of vision because the lenses fit closer to the eye. Some masks are also designed to take optical lenses; replacing the tempered plain glass with lenses of your own prescription does this.

Optical lenses are extra at a range of £19.00 - £37.50 each lenses``
