Company description Welcome to Plymouth Diving Centre - Plymouth `s newest and most exciting scuba diving school - based at Queen Anne`s Battery Marina.
With fantastic on–site facilities, top-of-the-range scuba equipment and perfect positioning, Plymouth Diving Centre is only minutes away from some of the country`s premier dive sites such as: the James Eagan Layne, the Eddystone Reef and the Scylla - the world`s newest artificial reef situated in Whitsand Bay.
You`re never too old to have the experience of a lifetime, and, with our experienced, patient, male and female instructors, Plymouth Diving Centre are THE people to provide it.
From beginners through to experienced divers, our instructors are ready to help you take your training to the next level.
Plymouth Diving Centre promotes, not only diver training, but also the important issues of coral and reef conservation. We achieve this by running programmes like Aquatic World Awareness Responsibility and Education.
With a dedicated team of instructors and dive masters, we are training children from local schools and youth groups, believing that children are the future of diving and conservation.
As well as the more conventional courses for children like our kids scuba sessions at Plymouth Pavillions we also organise fun events such as
Location description: Our dive club is free to join and is made up of divers from the age of 8. We meet regularly to organise trips and have a system in place for putting buddies of similar experience together. There is a discounted price for dive club members who need to hire kit. For those who have newly qualified we will ensure there is always someone to dive with so that further experience can be gained.
Our Boat:
`Phoenix` Our new 10 metre Humber Offshore Pro
Phoenix is predominantly used for dive charter. This fully equipped Category 3 RHIB with its twin 200hp engines will ensure a safe, fast and comfortable ride to any dive destination!
We will be using her for our training programmes, club diving in the evening and weekends as well as assisting local authorities in marine and underwater surveying.
Join us on Phoenix with the guidance of The Marine Conservation Society in the thrill of Dolphin and Basking Shark watching!
In addition to Phoenix we now have Baby Phoenix, a 6m RIB to be used mainly for training.
Holidays
In October of this year Plymouth Diving Centre will be venturing out to Sharm El Sheik, Egypt for our main holiday. From here we will be doing day boat diving, to some of the most beautiful sites in the world. The holiday is suitable for both newly qualified, open water divers and those with more experience. Dive sites will vary from wrecks and drift dives to pretty reef diving and deeper wall dives.
As we will be a large group we normally get to decide where the boat will go each day. In the evenings we either socialise as a group or, if people prefer, there is a lot to do in smaller groups or couples etc.
Apart from diving there are activities ranging from days on the beach to health clubs, quad bikes and camel riding. The holiday is therefore suitable for non-divers as well as divers.
