Company description Teign Diving Centre is Devons most established diving Centre founded in 1992 it has grown to become one of the largest diving facilities in the South West of England. The Centre now operates 2 dive boats, our fast hardboat SeaQuest and a 6.25m RIB, both are available to charter just drop us a line or email the centre. As a PADI 5star IDC facility we also offer training from entry level Open Water Diver programs right through to IDC`s and Instructor training, take a look at our training pages diving courses. Teign Diving Centre was established in 1992, the first PADI diving facility in the South Devon and Torbay area. Since then the Centre has expanded its services, facilities and customer base resulting in the upgrade to PADI 5 Star IDC, in 1998 the first IDC in the area. Teign Diving Centre staff between them,have more than 50 years experience in the recreational diving industry, as well as commercial and technical, practical and instructional experience. Teign Diving Centre aims to provide the highest quality service at affordable prices to all divers whatever their training background, at the same time as remembering that the aim of the sport is to have FUN!! ``The friendliest dive centre in the UK!!``
Learning to Dive can be one of the most exciting things you will ever do. As a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center (IDC) we offer safe, quailty training.
Our instructors can assist you in every qualification from starting out to experienced proffesional courses. To see how you can develop from novice to fully qualified through the PADI stages of qualification.

The dive shop stocks a complete range of equipment to cater for all types of diver, from the newly qualified open water diver through to the more experienced regular diver. We have experienced staff who are able to assist in selection of the best equipment to suit your needs, whether you need snorkeling equipment or technical advice.
The shop is a premier Scuba Pro dealer, as well as stocking Cressi Sub, Northern Diver, Seeman Sub, Custom Divers, Mares and many other Manufacturers.
We also carry equipment for other watersports including accessories for Kayaking and a complete range of lifejackets and buoyancy aids for all water sports and marine activities.
Our service department are able to service most regulators, repair suits and general equipment maintenance, as well as cylinder testing and servicing at great prices. We can fill your cylinders to 300 bar.
Teign Diving Centre specialises in organising and running holidays and trips to the Red Sea, both Hurghada and Sharm El Sheik. Our organised group holidays also include advanced or speciality training if required, and even Open Water training, for those who might enjoy the warmer climates. The Training is structured so that it does not interfere with recreational dives! We also have trips that include non-divers or family with an itinerary available for them to enjoy, including the Valley of the Kings and Luxor. We also organise and book independent trips with as much attention to detail, so let us know what you want and when!
We also have an Ice Diving speciality course and holiday for those of you looking for something different and a little extreme. The course is run in Canada, and includes expert tuition from one of Canada`s most experienced diving instructors, leading to a full PADI Ice Diving Speciality.

IANTD ADVANCED EANx
Advanced Nitrox is a course designed for divers who want to make use of custom mixes of Nitrox and Air to maximise their bottom time and reduce their Decompression whilst diving between 10m and 55m using up-to 40%EANX as a ``bottom gas`` and 50% EANXfor decompression. This course is designed to extend the diver`s knowledge in the use of EANx for recreational diving. Further developing skills and a greater understanding of the EANx concept of diving, using EANx mixes of 21% - 50%.
Prerequisites:- Basic EANx diver with a minimum of 15 logged dives or have experience as a deep air diver with a minimum of 50 dives, including 10 between 27m and 39m. Must be aged 15 or over.

Open Water Scuba Instructor

The Open Water Scuba Instructor course runs immediately after the AI programme and takes four days of training.Either full or part time. The course is designed to teach you all you need to know about PADI and teaching the PADI system of diver education. It will enable you to organise and run your own diver training programs through to divemaster or work as an instructor for a dive centre anywhere in the world!! We also teach business practices that will help you succeed as a professional On Completion of the OWSI course you are eligible to take the Instructor Exam (IE), this is conducted by PADI and on successful completion you`ll be awarded the OWSI rating from PADI!! You are also eligible to take the Medic First Aid Instructor course, and the Master Scuba Diver Preparation course!
Most Instructors from other organisations who have completed the self study section are eligible for this course
Instructor Development Course

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is a 9-day program, combining both the Assistant Instructor and Open Water Scuba Instructor courses.By doing both courses consecutively, you will find the learning curve is much easier and is an especially useful route for those who are comfortable up front with students, and don`t need time as an AI to gain confidence.
By taking both courses together you also save £50!!
