Company description Carlisle Sub-aqua Club has been in existence for nearly forty years and is the oldest sub-aqua club in Carlisle and North Cumbria.
Carlisle SAC is affiliated to the Scottish Sub-Aqua Club (SSAC), who were founded in 1953 and have more than 70 active branches in Scotland and the Border region.
SSAC, as the governing body is responsible for organising and maintaining a comprehensive structure of diver training and safe diving practice throughout the organisation.
When and where do we meet?
The club meets on Monday evenings as follows:
Lectures are held at Currock House Community Centre: 7:30pm - 8:15 pm
Pool sessions are held at Trinity school 8:30 pm - 9:30pm

Location description: The undersea world is fascinating, exciting and mysterious, the last great wilderness on earth. You will be amazed at the variety, profusion and colour of the aquatic creatures that can be found, not just in tropical waters, but also around the coast of Britain.
Diving is not just restricted to the sea, our local lakes and quarries can also be explored or used for training, and cave diving is also an option.
Learning to dive enables you to see this amazing world for yourself. The choice is yours, to watch the marine life from the smallest to the largest on earth, marine photography or archaeology, or to explore wrecks that have lain on the seabed for decades or even centuries.
Whatever your ultimate aim diving can offer an exciting and rewarding pastime for years to come. Interested? Then come along....
