Company description The club is about diving -
we are lucky enough to be based in Ilfracombe with its harbour and have Lundy on our doorstep. The Bristol Channel is a difficult place for boats and divers but that has helped us to work together for nearly 40 years.
The club night is Wednesday from 8pm - the bar is also open on Saturday nights and at other times when we return from diving. During the winter there are pool matches on Sunday evenings.
The Clubhouse is well equiped with our own compressor room.
Club members are provided with free air
and nitrox fills.
Members are encoraged to train in cylinder filling
as with all jobs within the club, its the members that
get it all done.
Working together as a team our club just gets
better and better.......
We train only one intake per year.
Training begins in early November and runs through to Easter.
Open water assessments continue through the summer and
most of each year`s trainees are Sports Divers by midsummer.
Training begins in a small hotel pool and progresses
into the deeper leisure centre pool.
First open water dives are in a local reservoir and finally the open sea.

Neptune
Length 11.4m Beam 3.92m Draft 1.15m
Built in Carrigaline, Eire by Aquastar Workboats 1996.
Powered by single 420HP Caterpillar 3126A
six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine.
Neptune has an extended cabin
which can seat 8 people plus skipper.
She has a working speed of around
20knots with 12 divers,,
(each with full kit and two dive cylinders).
There is a toilet and small galley in the forecastle.
From Ilfracombe Harbour
we can reach Padstow or
Milford Haven and return the same day.
She has a transom door from which we deploy divers
and recover them via an articulated stainless steel budgie ladder.
She carries a 3.5m Zodiac inflatable with 25hp Mariner outboard
and a twelve man liferaft.
She is equipped with Koden radar and colour sounder,
differential gps, chart plotter and vhf radio.
Lone Shark
We purchased Lone Shark in April 2002 to replace Brunel.
We drove her round from her mooring in Weymouth to Ilfracombe after buying her.
Pictured below is The Longships seen from the cabin window as we passed.
She is an Offshore 105 with 380 HP Iveco engine.
We used her extensively during the summer of 2002
During the winter 2002/2003 we are doing a major refit -
to the regret of some the teeth have now gone!
Combe Diver
We have used soft hulled inflatable boats for many years and explored the Cornish and South Devon coasts.
In 1998 we embarked on the new venture of purchasing a RIB.
Combe Diver complements our hard boats, giving new opportunities
for exploration away from North Devon and for the development of boat handling skills.
6.5 metre Humber with a Yamaha F100 4 stroke engine mounted on a Roller Coaster 5 Trailer.
