As well as being Bristol`s longest established Scuba Diving Shop, selling a huge selection of scuba gear from many of the world`s top manufacturers, Extreme Marine is also a great place to Learn to Scuba Dive - a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre offering the complete range of PADI scuba diving courses.
Established in 1995, Extreme Marine is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre, and Bristol`s longest established Dive Shop.
Chris Charles (the boss) is both a PADI Master Instructor and a Course Director / Instructor Examiner with NAUI. He`s been diving all over the world for more than 20 years and has well over 15,000 dives` experience for you to draw on.

Extreme Marine prides itself on customer service - indeed we`ve just been awarded PADI`s Certificate of Recognition for Excellence for ``outstanding customer service and professionalism``.
We offer the one stop shop approach to customer needs with the latest scuba gear, scuba equipment hire, servicing and diving holidays all just a phone call away.
Want to learn to dive? We offer the full range of PADI diving courses from the entry level Open Water Diver all the way up to Instructor Development Courses.
If it`s something a little different you want then we also offer a whole host of Speciality Courses including Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Underwater Videographer, Dive Propulsion Vehicle Diver... you name it!!
We don`t just sell stuff you know - we also offer equipment hire, servicing and air fills - in fact just about anything you need !!
Up to date with your medical? We`ve got the doctor coming in on Sat 8th October, Sat 12th November, Sat 10th December, and Sat 7th January.
Medicals start at 10:00 am and are by appointment only, so give us a call to get yourself booked in.
Learn to Scuba Dive!
How many times have you wished you could dive? Imagine gliding effortlessly through crystal clear tropical water, over fantastically colourful corals teeming with countless fish. Try to imagine how you’d feel if a pod of dolphins turned up to play, or as you watch a turtle swim lazily by without a care in the world....
Scuba Diving has to be one of the most incredibly beautiful and rewarding hobbies you could ever choose. Maybe you’ve tried snorkeling on holiday and wished you could be just that little bit closer? Well we can help get you there.
Extreme Marine is a PADI 5 Star IDC Scuba Diving Centre offering the full range of PADI scuba diving courses, from the “Bubble Maker” introduction for kids right up to professional PADI Instructor Training. We also offer Speciality courses including Deep, Wreck and Nitrox Diver, among many others.
Learning to dive is a lot easier than people often think, but in case you`re not quite sure whether it`s for you why not come along for a ``Try Dive`` session? For just £25 you get a couple of hours in the pool with one of our instructors just to see if you like it. We`ll lend you all the Scuba equipment you need, and the cost is fully refunded if you decide to go on to do the Open Water course.

Location description: As agents for Hayes and Jarvis we have access to the UK`s number one scuba diving holiday programme. Typically we arrange two or three trips a year, for anything up to 40 people. Recent holiday destinations include Mexico, the Red Sea, Antigua, Malta, Kenya, the Maldives, Cozumel, the Bahamas, Cuba, Tobago, Truk Lagoon and Gozo.

Our first outing this year was our regular trip to the Red Sea, staying at the ever-popular Marriott Hotel, Hurghada.
As expected, the marine life was stunning, the visibility was great, and the wrecks were awesome...

The next trip was something REALLY special. A two week holiday to the beautiful islands of the Maldives.
White sandy beaches, a superb resort, a fantastic house reef, whale sharks, eagle rays, mantas, turtles, fish balls (?) night dives - and who could EVER forget the Harlequin Shrimp?! (Assuming of course you knew where to look...)
