Location description: Gozo, meaning “joy” in Castillian, is the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago that consists of three islands known as Gozo, Comino and mainland Malta. Roughly circular in shape, 14km by 7km in area, Gozo is hilly and from the south-west to the north-west, the coast is entirely surrounded by cliffs. Being so small makes everything so accessible. Gozo is tranquil and treasures its peace. The people of this island take pride in the absolute absence of muggings and the almost non-existence of theft – sometimes you can see the villagers` keys in the door left when they are not at home. The island is well served by restaurants, where the eating is good and varied. Virtually all the locals speak English. Banking is very accessible with HSBC banks on the island.
The beautiful island of Elba lies 15km off the coast of Tuscany and is one of 7 islands that form the Tuscan Archipelago - National Park. It is the largest island in the National Park having a surface area of around 224 sq. km (28km long and 19km across at its widest point) and is, in fact, Italy’s third largest island. The coastline is incredibly varied - sandy beaches, shingle beaches and steep cliffs. Elba is an incredibly lush island with a very tropical feel to it. The west of the island is very mountainous, the highest peak of the Archipelago is Mt. Capanne reaching 1018m.
The island is probably most famous as the place where Napoleon was exiled in May 1814. He spent less than a year here on the island but left a significant mark on this small kingdom. He was, in fact, recognized as the sovereign of Elba and not as a simple prisoner.
A wonderful island to visit attracting many tourists per year. A truly beautiful destination to visit, Elba is well equipped with plenty of hotels and wonderful restaurants, with something to capture everyone`s imagination.
At the tip of the Sinai, between Tiran Island and Ras Mohammed National Park, is Sharm El Sheikh which has some of the worlds most amazing underwater scenery. We have chosen this destination for its ease for diving, both shore dives and boat dives, and for its additional attractions outside of diving i.e. camel rides in the desert, dolphin park, fun fair, quad-biking in the desert, St. Catherine`s Monastery.
There are a number of resorts along the coast around Sharm with the town itself offering many shops and restaurants and banks. The hotels we have chosen for their wonderful service, their comfortable surroundings and their child-friendly atmospheres.
