Portland Oceaneering has been addressing divers` needs for ten years; ranging from retail sales, air and Nitrox fills, servicing, repairs and cylinder testing. Our customers include all types of diver from the recreational scuba diver to military divers, TV and film crews. Here at Portland Oceaneering we can provide you with the the following services. Regulator servicing and repairs, cylinder valve servicing, cylinder visual inspections, cylinder hydrostatic testing and O2 cleaning. Not coming to Portland for a while? No problem! Send us your regs and we`ll service and post them back to you. Portland Oceaneering can arrange hard hat dives for groups of ten to twelve people. Ideal for clubs looking for something different. The cost is 50.00 per person per day. To participate you must be a qualified diver.
Portland is one of the most popular south coast diving destinations in the UK. The 18 mile Chesil Beach can offer excellent shore diving with scenic dives and shallow wrecks all within swimming distance. There are a number of dive boats operating out of Castletown, providing shuttles, day charters, harbour and offshore wrecks, drift and night dive sites, all at varying depths. Protected by the harbour walls against even the strongest winds, Portland Harbour, with its sheltered wreck sites, can still be dived when gales prevent offshore diving.
