Our fully stocked dive shop is now available to cater for divers needs. There is ample parking and easy, direct access from car to the air station area to collect your bottles. Free toilet facilities are available to all customers.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our own Air Station with a capacity of 70 C.F.M. There are 16 take-offs @ 240 Bar, 2 take-offs @ 300 Bar and we are also qualified to mix and supply Nitrox through a separate and double filtered digital panel to card carrying divers.
This station is naturally open to all, with the advantage that divers can leave their bottles, we fill them, and they can then be collected at your own convenience. There is ample parking with easy, direct access for cars. We also offer drinks making facilities and a free toilet (suitable for the disabled).
There are two compressors, each of 35 c.f.m. Pumping to 300 Bar with the capability of filling 16 bottles at a time. The capacity is to be increased over this winter, allowing us to extend our service with a dedicated panel for double filtered air, filling four bottles at a time, thus leaving a separate panel for nitrox blending for card carrying divers.
Location description: Farne Island Diving comprises beautiful cliff faces covered in sea life and the wrecked remains of various ships. The water around the Farnes and surrounding coastline is among the clearest in the country and offers superb diving for all. Good drift dives are available with of course the opportunity to dive and play with the largest seal colony in the North Sea. Both Toby and Andrew have a wide knowledge of dive sites and tidal flows and will provide the best possible diving for any level of experience.
Whilst offering superb opportunities for excellent diving, in some of the clearest water around the UK, there is so much more to the Farne Islands.
Situated half an hours boat ride from Seahouses, they are steeped in nature, history and superstition.
They are separated into two groups (Inner & Outer Farnes) by Staple Sound, a stretch of water 1 mile wide.
In the 1st century AD St Aidan, one of the first Christians in Britain lived there.
St Cuthbert, synonymous with Christianity and nearby Holy Island, also lived there.
There is a huge diversity of seabirds and wildlife on the islands, from Puffins to Razorbills, the rare Roseate Tern to common or garden Cormorants. There are even rabbits.
Longstone is famous for local heroine Grace Darling who, together with her father rescued the survivors of the shipwreck, Forfarshire. Itself a sober reminder to the respect the sea commands.
Most of all though, as you can see left, the islands offer fantastic opportunities to dive in crystal clear waters with the rarest seal species in the world, the grey seal.
Seahouses has a beautiful Harbour with spectacular views to the Farne Islands.
There is excellent access to stow gear onto the boats and car parking is currently charged at
