Exciting dive trips in the UK and Worldwide that we have organised for you.
*Red Sea Diving
The Red Sea offers some of the best coral reef diving in the world. The clear, unpolluted waters mean that some of the finest and most prolific marine life in the world can be found here. There are beautiful growths of colourful hard and soft corals as well as a myriad of fish and other marine creatures. The diving is relatively easy. The water is very warm from June to December. Some of the bigger creatures that can be seen are Manta rays, dolphins, turtles, tuna, and the occasional shark. There are also some very good wrecks to dive.
The Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh areas offer very similar conditions and share some of the same dive sites, such as the famous wreck of the Thisltegorm and the fabulous coral and wrecks at Sh’ab Abu Nu Has. There is a wide choice of dive sites suitable for all levels of experience. Trips to either Sharm or Hurghada are ideal for people doing first dives as well as for the more experienced diver.
We also run trips to the Southern Red Sea. The Southern Red Sea is relatively undived compared to the North, which means more big fish, sharks, dolphins etc.
*Sulawesi
This summer we are running a trip to the Northern end of Sulawesi. Sulawesi was formerly called Celebes and is a large amoeba shaped island between Maluka and Borneo. Sulawesi straddles the equator so the warmth of the water, the sunlight and the rich nutrients upwelling from the surrounding very deep waters ensure prolific coral and marine life growth. There are more species of coral here than anywhere else in the world. The fantastic coral ensures a profusion of life surrounding the reef and is an ideal place to see creatures such as seahorses, pigmy seahorses, mandarin fish, numerous nudibranchs, frogfish, and ghost pipefish. In the deep water off the reef we might be lucky enough to see sperm whales, big pelagics, mantas, and whale sharks.
*Djibouti
Djibouti has recently been added to the list of must dive destinations. It is a small, politically stable republic, with a substantial French influence, strategically situated where the worlds of Arabia and Africa meet. It is also on the junction of the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. As with much of the Red Sea hinterland, the country itself is arid and mountainous, the barreness of it being in stark contrast to the profusion of life in the sea.
Bonaire
Bonaire is a small, 21 mile long, island situated in the Dutch Antilles. Sat in the Caribbean Sea just 50 miles north of Venezuela it is outside the hurricane belt and has very low rainfall, just 22†a year. Bonaire offers dependably dry and warm weather. Above water the island is quite arid and desert like but the lack of rainfall means there is little run off and the sea is usually very clear. There is an abundance of marine life, including seahorses, frogfish, flamingo tongue shells, tarpon as well as all our usual fishy friends.
