Company description Based in the picturesque seaside town of Conwy, North Wales we are able to offer our guests a wide variety of activities and excursions to suit all ages and medical conditions. Departing from the historic quayside our rides can take you on an inspiring ride up river into the Snowdonia National Park or out into the Irish Sea to play with the seals and porpoise.
Our custom built 8m RIB “Bada Bing!” is powered by a 250hp engine allowing us to cater for everyone from the tranquil bird watcher right the way through to adrenaline junkies searching for a high speed buzz.
The unique multi-format deck design allows us to set up the boat specifically for your time with us. Add to this the excellent local knowledge of our professionally qualified skippers and you are guaranteed a memorable day with us – whatever the conditions!
Our rides cover a wide range of activities and excursions including Adrenaline rides, Wildlife tours, Sightseeing, and Photography trips. Many of our guests like to tailor their own itinerary ensuring that they get exactly what they want – a picnic up river, kite-surfing at sea or a taxi ride to the pub! Just give us activities and times and we will sort out the rest.
Safety is of the greatest importance. All safety equipment will be provided and demonstrated before embarking.
Born and raised in the Conwy Valley proprietors Jon and Alex have a keen interest and wealth of experience for the water and mountain based activities readily available.
After several years working away both returned to the area and established Conwy Charters in May 2004 with the aim of providing a unique insight into the features of the North Wales coastline.
Initially started as a dive charter covering the many wrecks within the Liverpool Bay, the operation has developed to provide the public with a range of opportunities to experience the natural beauty from an alternative viewpoint.
As well as a long history of experience along the coast both Jon and Alex are professionally qualified to RYA Advanced Powerboat level and are able to teach to RYA level 2. Our R.I.B. “Bada Bing” is fully coded to MCA cat 4 allowing us to operate up to 20 miles from safe haven.
Thanks to our fantastic location we can offer a wide variety of activities to give you a day you’ll be talking about for a long time to come, whether it be team building, staff days out, stag do’s or simply letting off steam.
Our close relationship with other local adventure companies means that we can combine a thrilling high speed RIB ride with activities such as paint-balling, quad-biking, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding or white water rafting.
If you would like to make a weekend of it then there are plenty of other activities that will leave you going home exhausted but with a huge grin on your face.
We can also offer a complete offroad itinerary by teaming up with a local offroad specialists based at Marchbrook Leisure. Why not combine a high speed RIB ride with some offroad tuition or a quad ride around the beautiful Welsh countryside.

We have worked closely with several local media groups and have experience in both still photography and videography. We have also taken part in underwater video shoots for local wildlife brochures.
We are fully equipped to cater for teams of up to 8 people and can operate both locally and nationally should the need arise.
Location description: We are fortunate to have a diverse and hugely historic area to operate in. Whether it’s an adrenaline fuelled coastline blast of a more sedately paced tour of the local sights we guarantee to have you smiling – even if you do get seasick!
We provide many excursions, ranging from marine nature trails to thrills and spills. We cater for all ages, whether you would like a serene evening of bird watching around the Great Orme, Woman’s Institute social evenings or even travel to and from your wedding in style! Conwy Charters does it all. Some of the rides we provide are Baywatch, Apocalypse Now, Wild Things, The Swellies or Made to Measure types of rides.
We provide a number of interesting dive spots, but also provide group arrangements. Quick links on the left will take you to our underwater world. We provide dives around North Anglesey, Menai Straits and Great Orme.
Conwy’s coastline has a great deal of diving to suit all levels. The area contains numerous wrecks ranging from modern day trawlers through to WWII cargo steamers, all offering some excellent diving. Once you have had your fill of wrecks why not come back in and dive with the seals on Puffin Island for an unforgettable second dive experience.
We also offer a number of sheltered coastal locations which are ideal for open-water qualifications or training.
To make life as easy as possible for our guests we embark/disembark from a pontoon – so no worries about lifting your gear into the RIB or dropping that weight belt on your foot again. Our departure point also has toilet and picnic facilities.
“Bada Bing” is our purpose built 8metre rigid inflatable specifically designed to give us maximum flexibility when it comes to deck layout. The console at the stern means that we have almost 6 metres of deck space available to do with as you please – open deck is usually preferred by media charters. For our dive set-up we install a bottle rack, either fore or aft and plenty of cargo straps to ensure equipment is securely fastened down. Our clients comfort is of paramount importance to us which is why we have custom built 2 and 3 man jockey seats available for any of our rides.
Bada Bing has an overall length of 8 meters and an internal length of 7.2 meters. Our internal beam is 1.8 meters. The hull design includes a high V at the bow flattening out at the stern.
Our maximum payload is just under 2.5 tons.
Bada Bing is powered by a DF250 Suzuki engine, the most powerful V6 four stroke outboard on the water. It gives us a top speed in excess of 50 knots. A huge amount of torque also ensures that, even with a full load, we are up and planing in no time at all. Add to this the excellent reliability in any conditions and you have one of the premium outboards on the market today.
