Don`t forget, you can book on existing dives or even create new dives using the system (The system will work everything like slack water out for you). We had such a fab time in Kenya in January that we’re planning to go back for more next year. Fancy 2 weeks in all-inclusive holiday in Kenyas’ summer in the middle of England’s worst? Kenya is a great holiday destination for non-divers as well as for divers.
Kenya’s diving and tourism opportunities are far better than the Red Sea (IMVHO) and as yet relatively un-discovered; for most of our trip, we two were usually the only divers on a site.
We feel it’s at least as good as the Maldives, especially as it’s less than 1/2 the cost and has a very small time zone change.
There is also an almost unrivalled opportunity to learn to dive or extend one’s training in ideal conditions so if your partner is thinking of learning to dive, then this could be the opportunity.
Plenty of fun and local interest for those of a “cultural disposition” too. We found an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting a local Kenyan charity – a training centre for disabled women that produces lovely tailored products that beat the average souvenir.
