Our present boat is a 38` Evolution called X-Dream, she is fitted with a 380hp Turbo Charged Caterpillar Diesel which gives her a fast cruising speed, she is also fitted with a state of the art diver lift platform so there is no need to get battered about at the side of the boat whilst trying to use a ladder!
We have even had the exhaust outlet from the engine routed through the side of the hull which means it is completely clear of the dive platform, In all the stages of design and construction of X-Dream we have endeavoured to ensure maximum comfort and convenience for all our passengers and we are quite proud of our achievements ,
The 2005 season is well and truly finished, not a bad season overall. The start was good, a very mild Easter with outstanding Viz considering that it was in March. April was unusually mild and calm but we paid the price in May and June with wind rain and fog.
Our usual trip down to Salcombe in late June went well except for a couple of windy days, we will be going down again this year.
The most popular wrecks of the season were Salsette, M2, Aeolian Sky and the Pomeranian. We also had some excellent dives on the Alex Van Opstal with the East side Viz unusually good virtually all season. Some good diving on the wrecks close to Portland Bill The Frognor, Arfon and UB74 were had, with Viz up to 10 mts. Our two evening dives each week Wednesday and Thursday were very popular with the boat full on most trips.
