Company description SILVER SWIFT is the ideal charter boat with which to explore the fantastic sites - and sights - around the Sound of Mull, Coll, Tiree, Muck, Rum, Canna or further afield. Base yourself in Tobermory, Lochaline or near Oban - SILVER SWIFT is fast enough to get you to your chosen site as quickly as possible, wherever you are staying. Oban, known as The Gateway to the Isles, is just a couple of hours drive from Glasgow.
SILVER SWIFT is a Cygnus Cyfish and is 37` long, has a beam of 13` and a 4` draft. She has been refitted for this season with new twin Cummings turbo charged diesel engines giving a top speed of 28 knots. Inbuilt systems, plus automatic trim controls, ensure the smoothest passage possible. As well as the latest safety and navigation equipment you`ll find ample deck space plus shelter in and behind the cabin if the weather is less than perfect. There`s hot air cabin heating, an onboard toilet and shower, hot and cold water and a 6 Kva generator providing heating, lighting, cooking and 240v power. SILVER SWIFT has an MSA 60 mile Notice of Intent enabling you to venture up to 60 miles from a safe haven, day or night. Skipper/owner Paul Gallagher has around 30 years experience of local waters so you`ll find his knowledge invaluable.
SILVER SWIFT has been specially designed with diving in mind and has a rear door so divers can enter the water with ease. She has masses of flush rear deck space for kitting up and storage space for cylinders and personal gear.
SILVER SWIFT is a fast day boat which can get you where you want to go and return to base quickly should you wish to do so. There`s no travelling time wasted enabling you to enjoy convenient, hassle-free and relaxing diving. If we travel to a distant site, such as the wreck of the Nevada II, off the top of Coll, enjoy a cup of coffee and admire the view...we`ll be there before you know it.
Whether you want to go diving, fishing, cruising to see whales, dolphins and birds (such as puffins and eagles), or if you just fancy a day at sea we can arrange a charter aboard SILVER SWIFT to suit you.
Location description: There are a surplus of top quality dive sites around the Sound of Mull and Inner Hebrides. From iron steamers to war time bombers, scenic dives to drift dives and so much more. There`s a massive variety of marine life and of course you`ll be visiting some of the world`s most unspoilt and unpolluted waters.
Many sites are within easy reach when you choose SILVER SWIFT - the Hispania, Aurania, Tapti, Shuna, Breda, Meldon and the Rondo to name but a few. Paul has personal experience in these waters of commercial and sport diving, as well as commercial fishing, and will brief you on the dive sites, tides and weather conditions throughout your charter.
Why not charter SILVER SWIFT to enjoy a scenic sea life trip? There is exceptional natural beauty, not to mention the photo opportunities, here on the West coast of Scotland. The area is renowned for its extraordinary diversity of wildlife, birds and scenery and the seas are amongst the richest for cetaceans in Europe. You might see golden and white-tailed sea eagles, the comical puffin, deer, shy otters and seals as well as the mighty minke whale, harbour porpoise, bottle-nose dolphin and common dolphin. Occasionally other cetaceans such as orca (killer whale) and basking shark are seen. Under the water teems with marine life, in seas that are warmed by the Gulf Stream, and of course you`ll be visiting at firsthand some of the world`s most unspoilt and unpolluted waters.
