Location description:
On website you can find some descriptions of dive sites of United Kingdom. Here is some of them:
*Trearrdur Bay, Anglesey
Trearrdur bay is one of the most popular diving sites on Anglesey. It is glorious in good weather with spectacular views and plenty of places to relax and chill out. It is well supported by shops and there are two locations where you get air etc. The most popular diving area is Ravenspoint as seen in the photographs.
The diving itself is good, with a flood tide you may get 10 -14 metres if you swim out a bit. This area is frequently dived so if you want to see some sea life you are best to head away from the central run. A nice dive is to head down this gully (right) and follow the rocks around to the left.
*Trefor Pier
Easy diving with spectacular sea life. This really is a lovely dive, even though the surface area is relatively small, there is lots to see and it's not hard to spend a hour here, just meandering under the pier.
*Dorothea Quarry
No services at all and no safety equipment. Excellent diving location but with risks. A great place to dive with lots of interesting features. Sadly there are no facilities at all other than a rough track and some space to park. It does get very busy at the weekend.
*Wastwater
No life to see but brilliant visibility make this worthwhile.
Visibility is brilliant (20m +) but there is little to see, other than other divers. It is deep, the maximum recorded depth is about 73m and the silt can be kicked up very easily so be careful.
*Capernwray
Reliable, pleasant, hassle free diving. Great place for training although getting a little expensive. Another excellent diving quarry, famous for its wrecks and other underwater attractions. The site is easy to get to and the staff are friendly. It is one of my favourite inland sites. It can get a little murky later in the day, especially at the weekend, when it is much busier.... a good time for those navigation exercises!
You can find an information "How to get there" on each description.
