Company description: Fourth Element began in 1999 with a conversation over a post dive beer in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt. We set out to design high quality clothing with a simple yet diving oriented style. With backgrounds in design and human physiology, we spent a year and a half researching designs and fabrics for a range of casual and technical diving clothing.
The Fourth Element Technical range is designed around the principles of performance, function and innovation. Using the latest fabric technology in unique combinations and designs, the Fourth Element Technical range revolutionises thermal protection for both Wetsuit and Drysuit diving.
The Xerotherm Arctic is the latest addition to the range - it is an extreme performance undersuit combining two layers of advanced fabric to manage the microclimate around the wearer's body. The low bulk construction makes it ideal for using under neoprene drysuits and it retains its performance even when wet.
The Xerotherm Arctic can be used in conjunction with the drybase or the xerotherm base layers for the ultimate drysuit diving thermal protection system.
Location description: On website you'll find detailed descriptions for all our products, like following:
"* Cotton Sucks
Many divers wear cotton t-shirts or similar items underneath their undersuits and this may actually leave them feeling colder and less comfortable than diving without. Cotton holds perspiration and moisture next to the skin where it can feel clammy, cold and uncomfortable.
Drybase is the new high wicking underwear system for drysuit diving from Fourth Element. Using ultra fast wicking fabric, the Drybase garments are the ideal alternative to cotton underneath a thinsulate or other undersuit. The garments' exceptional wicking performance means that the skin is kept dry and the wearer is much more comfortable during and after the dive, and is able to get the most out for the performance of their undersuit.
*Fin sock
COMFORT
Performance fabric and simple design minimise chafing and virtually eliminate the risk of developing sores or blisters through friction, a problem often suffered by divers wearing full foot fins for long periods of time.
LOW FRICTION
Finsocks aid donning a wetsuit by providing a low friction surface enabling feet to slide through the legs of a wetsuit
WARM
Worn underneath neoprene boots, finsocks keep feet warmer when diving in cold water...."
..and many more!
