*Sharm El Shiekh
Sharm El Sheikh is possibly the most spectacular diving area in the Red Sea. With some 40 miles of reef, it is richly endowed with dramatic coral drop offs, aquamarine bays and coral formations unparalleled in the diving world. World famous dive sites include Ras Mohammed, Tiran Island and the wrecks of SS Thistlegorm and the Dunraven. Sharm is the ideal location for divers and holidaymakers alike. The most popular dive destinations:
*Lhariyani
Only 200 of these islands are inhabited and 87 of these are exclusive island resorts. The Maldives are located on the equator, southwest of Sri Lanka, in the Indian Ocean. They comprise 1190 coral islands, forming an archipelago of 26 major atolls. The diving around the Maldives offers a true variety of choice with fantastic marine life, channels (kandu), pinnacles (thila) and house reefs. The channels tend to offer current diving with highlights including pelagic action, schooling fish, caves and soft coral blooms. The pinnacles tend to offer more protection, with schooling fish and interesting macro life. Faadhippolhu Atoll is known for vivid soft corals, thrilling kandu dives and unusual marine life. Ari Atoll is particularly known for its thila diving inside the atoll. Rich with marine life and also known for its whale/shark sightings.
*Manado
Manado lies just a few degrees off the equator, on the northern peninsula of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The vast sweep of Manado Bay is dominated on the landward side by the peaks of two volcanoes. A third volcanic cone rises steeply from the sea in the centre of the bay and a group of islands form a sheltering barrier across the seaward side.
*Similian Islands
Thailand offers diverse undersea experiences along with an unbelievable amount of top dive sites. One of the very best are the Similan Islands with their stunning under water sceneries, beautiful soft corals and the rich marine life.
*Rangiroa
French Polynesia consists of 118 islands scattered across five far-flung archipelagos in the South Pacific. The more famous islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora are found in the Society Islands. Rangiroa is part of the Tuamotu Group, a collection of low-lying islands or atolls where a narrow barrier reef surrounds a shallow lagoon. Rangiroa is the second-biggest atoll in the world and measures 50 miles by 15 miles. So large it is impossible to see the other side of the lagoon.
