FISHinthecity dive school is able to offer scuba diving training courses from Discover Scuba Diving to Instructor level in Central London.
We offer recreational technical diving, bought to you by TDI - Technical Diving International.
By now you have probably been introduced to Nitrox and be familiar with its uses for mixtures up to 40%. The Advanced Nitrox course is designed to introduce you to breathing mixtures that contain up to 100% oxygen, and equipment required for its safe use. The knowledge gained from the Advanced Nitrox course will help you utilize higher oxygen mixtures for an added safety factor on your no-deco stops.
The next step is to introduce Decompression Procedures. Although many dive computers will show deco information as a result of an extended stay, an understanding of how to plan decompression is invaluable.
These two courses also extend your qualified depth as a diver. Advanced Nitrox is a 40m qualification, while the Decompression course is 45m.
Advanced Nitrox
This course examines the use of EAN21 through 100 percent (oxygen) for optimal mixes to a depth of forty five (45) MSW. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN21-100 percent O2 for dives not requiring stage decompression. Decompression techniques may be combines with this course.
Decompression Procedures
This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. This program is designed as a stand-alone course or it may be taught in conjunction with such TDI courses as Advanced Nitrox Course, Advanced Wreck Course, or Extended Range Course. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of forty five (45) MSW unless taught in conjunction with the Extended Range course. The most common equipment requirements, gear setup, and decompression techniques are presented. Students are permitted to utilize Enriched Air Nitrox mixes or oxygen for decompression provided the gas mix is within their current certification level.
Extended Range
This course provides training and experience required to competently utilize air for dives up to fifty five (55) MSW that requires staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression. The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper techniques, equipment requirements and hazards of deep air diving to a maximum of fifty five (55) MSW utilizing Nitrox mixtures or oxygen for staged decompression.
*Six (6) Dives with a minimum accumulated bottom time of one hundred (100) minutes
*All dives must be deeper than thirty (30) MSW with four (4) dives deeper than forty (40) MSW
*No more than 2 dives may be credited from previous training
*1 Academic session
Entry Level Trimix
The TDI Entry Level Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox and or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of sixty (60) MSW. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases.

Location description: We`ve had a good year with our trips to the Red Sea, Menorca, Brighton, Plymouth and Dingle. Many thanks to all that came along and provided pictures and some good diving fun!
Brighton Day Trips
We have another three day trips to Brighton. We will be using Spartacat again for these dives. For those of you who haven`t dived on this boat before Spartacat has a lift to make getting back on board very easy!
The cost of the trip will be £50.
We will be offering advanced and speciality courses on these trips.
Cornwall Weekend
We are going to Cornwall to dive the Manacles for the August Bank Holiday weekend. The diving will be done from Gamgy Lady, a hard boat based in St Keverne.
Menorca Weekends
We had two great long weekend trips to Menorca
The dive sites offer a great variety, enabling us to offer a range of courses from Openwater and Advanced to Cavern specialty and more. Due to the flight prices we are now going from 12 to 15 May. The cost of the trip is £225.
Plymouth Diving
We had such a good time last year we`ve booked again for this year. We will be using `Seeker` this year, but expect to do a similar style of diving (Scylla and James Egan Layne will feature) - we may add a reef for any who want it!!
Swanage Weekend
We are going to Swanage for a weekend in June. This will include a dive on the Kyarra wreck.
We will be diving from the Sidewinder for this weekend - it includes a lift for those who find ladders too much like hard work!
We will be offering advanced and speciality courses on these trips.
