Company description Welcome to Kent Scuba.
We provide PADI scuba diving training courses, from beginners through to specialised courses, as well as supplying diving equipment from many major manufacturers and organising dive trips both in the UK or abroad for all levels.
Dive Club.
Would you like to join our fun but sensible bunch for trips within the UK and abroad? (Macho, `gung ho` types need not apply).
Looking for a dive club without all the internal politics or cliques that normally beset some clubs?
Interested in saving money in dive purchases?
Or just want to join us for an ``après dive`` social?
We are a lively bunch who enjoy a fun but safe approach to diving; without any `macho` type attitude; nor any of the petty internal politics that beset some clubs. Neither do we restrict membership to PADI divers - divers from any training agency are welcome, as are non divers too.
We also constantly strive to improve club membership benefits through member’s Special Offers on kit, courses and dive trips whilst minimising the costs to all.
These are some of the courses that we have available.

Training - Discover Scuba
Experience the adventure!! Have you ever looked at the ocean and wondered what was below the surface - ever watched the divers and longed to have a go yourself? Imagine being able to breathe under water as you glide along weightlessly over stunning corals and amongst shoals of beautiful fish. The Discover Scuba Experience is designed for non divers who would like the chance to experience scuba diving in the controlled environment of a swimming pool.
What is involved: Students will be given a brief introduction to scuba diving during which they will receive a thorough briefing with the instructor. Then they will then be taken to a local swimming pool where the instructor will help them don the equipment in the shallow end of the pool. Students will be closely supervised as they kneel down and take their first breaths under water!! Once people are comfortable with this new sensation they will be given the opportunity to start moving around the pool and exploring the deep end. The only problem the instructor encounters is trying to get people out of the pool at the end of the twenty minutes - everyone`s having such a good time
Training - Scuba Diver
The PADI Scuba Diver rating is a pre-entry level certification that allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet under the `direct supervision` of a dive professional. Additionally, you may obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other services under a dive professional`s supervision and continue your dive training to achieve the PADI Equipment Specialist rating or PADI Open Water Diver rating.
Simply put, earning your PADI Scuba Diver rating is your passport to quickly, safely and easily becoming a `supervised diver`. To dive independently, you can continue toward becoming a PADI Open Water Diver.
Training - Open Water Diver
Begin the adventure today! Within just a few days you can be enjoying the underwater world. The first step is to take a PADI Open Water Diver course, the most widely recognised and respected diving certification in the world.
Academic presentations are balanced with self study material and cover the basics you need to dive safely and to have fun. You will have already viewed the video, CD or DVD in the comfort of your home, then your instructor elaborates and answers any questions. After a presentation you are taken to a pool where you will learn to master elementary diving skills.
Location description: Some details about Advanced Courses:
Training - Advanced Open Water Diver
Having successfully completed your PADI Open Water Course you are no doubt wanting to gain more diving experience. Maybe you want to try a night dive, a deeper dive, a dry suit dive or you are interested in discovering more about the fascinating life that you discovered during your initial training. Whatever your reasons, the Advanced Open Water Course introduces you to a number of new and exciting diving experiences under the supervision of your instructor.
Training - Rescue Diver
Rescue is an important step in being prepared to deal with diving problems. This course is designed to refine your ability to prevent problems and develop skills needed to respond to a diving emergency, and also put First aid skills into use in a diving environment. In class and open water you`ll learn how to manage a diving accident if it occurs. From assisting another diver through possible worst-case scenarios, you`ll practice applying the knowledge and skills that make the difference in the unlikely event problems do arise. Above all this course is designed to give you more confidence in your abilities as a competent diver. The Rescue Diver course is also a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster and Master Scuba Diver Courses.
Course content In the classroom you will cover the theory modules as outlined in the Rescue Diver manual including, Prevention, First Aid, Management, Equipment, Assists and Rescues. There is a multiple choice exam on completion and the knowledge reviews in the manual must be completed.
Training - Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster course is your first step to making diving a professional career.
The goals of the course are:-
To enable the candidate to organise, conduct and supervise recreational diving activities;
To enable the candidate to effectively act as an instructional assistant to a teaching status PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (or higher);
To develop the theoretical knowledge of candidates to a level sufficient to become an Instructor;
To encourage and prepare candidates for Instructor level training.
Training - Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
“Nitrox” is just another word for any mixture of nitrogen and oxygen such as air - a mixture of 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. Enriched air nitrox (EANx) is the correct term we use to describe oxygen enriched air. As you will know from your Open Water program, we are limited, due to the amount of nitrogen we absorb during a dive, as to the length of time we can remain at any depth. If we reduce that amount of nitrogen and replace it with safe levels of oxygen, we are able to increase our bottom time. For those of you interested in staying underwater longer, or increasing your safety margins, this course this can be a great bonus.
