*Phil Shaw PADI MSDT
Phil started London Diving (Dolphin Divers) in 1991 after leaving the Scots Guards Band. Phil is responsible for overseeing all the main activities within the company but specializes in Underwater Photography. He is also responsible for teaching Beginner/Advanced Underwater Photographic Techniques and further diving education. Phil is often in the office dealing with course administration.All photos on this site were taken by Phil.
*Marijke De Groet MSDT
Marijke is our newest addition and is from the chilled out Netherlands. She is a very accomplished Instructor and very laid back and patient in her approach to students. She has just returned from a 2 year stint in the Madive Islands (tough life) and is enjoying the new challenges of diving and teaching in the UK. In her life before Diving Marijke was a Psychiatric Nurse in Holland (should come in handy when dealing with the rest of the team!)
*Peter Hollick PADI MSDT
Peter has been with us for 5 years and is often termed our entertainments officer. He has had many jobs during his time including Groundsman and Swimming Instructor. We feel lucky to have his skills as a trainer his people skills are second to none and we have more letters of praise for his courses than any other.
*Sam Barbor PADI MSDT
Sam has been with us for 2 years having worked for other London based schools before us. Sam likes working with us and says `we are the best school he`s worked for`. Sam is an all round nice guy with great people skills and lots of time for all his students and divers.
*Alessandra Perbellini Assistant Instructor
Alex as we call her, has been with us for 3 years now and has just reached the dizzy heights of Assistant Instructor. Alex is Italian and is very popular with all the students she helps get through our courses. During the week she works in the City in a bank and at weekends dons her wetsuit and changes careers.
Location description: One of the most spectacular dive sites in the world has to be the Philippines with over 2000 varieties of coral and fish. Here you have an opportunity to see a huge variety of marine life as well as experiencing a completely different Asian culture. We will be staying in the Luxurious on the island of Mindoro in a popular resort called Sabang Beach. Puerto Galera is far away from any political troubles and is a very safe destination.

*Discover Scuba
We will introduce you to a number of skills which give you confidence in the water and prepare you to move on and become an Open Water Diver . The more confident swimmer is advised to go straight for the Referral or full Open water course.
*Open Water
This part of the program covers your four qualifying dives required to certify you as an Open Water Diver. If you decide to complete this with us in the UK you will be diving with the same trusted group of Instructors and Divemasters. You will gain a high level of competence as you will be completing your training in more challenging conditions than a tropical holiday destination, preparing you for more diving locations World wide.
*Rescue Diver Course
Consisting of both theory and open water training, you will learn all the skills and techniques to assist both yourself and a buddy in an emergency. As with training in similar fields of emergency care, the primary objective of the course is to prevent the need for use of rescue skills. You will be taught how to think as well as act.
*PADI Refersher
For certified divers who have been out of the water for more than 6 months and need to refresh their diving skills and for referral students who have not dived for several months and are about to complete their open water dives.
*Divemaster
Competent and resourceful Divemasters are critical to any dive operation and this is why we offer free training on an internship basis (if you complete the EFR and Rescue) i.e. you assist at a number of evening and weekend courses following completion of the course. This provides you with the valuable experience you need and supplies us with extra DM`s to assist with courses.
*Advanced Open Water Diver
The advanced course is designed to build upon the skills you learned in the PADI Open Water Course to fast track you to becoming a more competant diver. There are five practical modules completed over two days which are designed to introduce you to more aspects of diving. There are two compulsory core dives, Deep dive which will expand your knowledge & Underwater Navigation.
